IFEZ to Create Content for Foreigners in Korea with University of Utah Students
The Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) announced that it signed a MOU for Global Content Internship with the University of Utah Asia Campus on the 19th.
This internship program aims to produce content that provides life information and improves living conditions for foreigners, utilizing the global media studio within IFEZ.
The internship is scheduled to begin from this year's fall semester. The University of Utah will be responsible for selecting and managing participating students and content production, while the Incheon Free Economic Zone will handle stipend payments and administrative support.
"How About Incheon This Holiday?" Leisure/Outdoor Travel Product Exhibition
Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization are hosting an 'Incheon Leisure and Outdoor Product Exhibition' to attract tourists during the holiday season.
This exhibition will be held from August 20 to September 22 through online travel platforms.
A 20,000 KRW discount coupon is provided for accommodation bookings of 100,000 KRW or more, and leisure experience admission tickets can receive discounts ranging from 10,000 KRW to a maximum of 20,000 KRW, depending on the price.
An Incheon city official stated, "As we approach the end of the summer vacation season and the upcoming autumn golden holiday, we hope this event will serve as an opportunity to attract many tourists to Incheon by offering diverse attractions and benefits linked to Incheon's islands."
Incheon City Drives Successful Hosting of Korea Week Event in Weihai
Incheon Metropolitan City participated in the Korea Week event held on August 12th and 13th in Weihai, China, organized by the Korean Association. Through the IFEZ Economic and Trade Representative Office in China, the city promoted Incheon's beauty and cultural diversity while strengthening exchanges and cooperation with overseas Korean organizations.
The Korea Week event is a fusion of cultural events, political affairs, and economic sectors aimed at correctly introducing Korea to foreigners and spreading a positive image of Korea.
An Incheon city official stated, "Going forward, the Representative Office will continue to support overseas Korean organizations and do its best to ensure active communication and exchange between Incheon City and overseas Koreans."
Call for Nominations: 18th Woohyun Art Awards
The Incheon Cultural Foundation is conducting a call for nominations for the 18th Woohyun Art Awards.
The Woohyun Art Awards is presented to cultural and artistic figures who have contributed to the development of Incheon's culture and arts through creative and presentational activities.
The nomination period is from August 20 to September 13, 2024. Nominations must be made by a third party, not by the cultural or artistic figures themselves or organizations to which they belong.
