Incheon Selects 2 Out of 6 Tree-Lined Streets For Excellent Management 


Incheon City announced that the Ginkgo Tree Road on Inha-ro in Michuhol-gu and the London Plane Tree Road on Gilju-ro in Bupyeong-gu have been selected as two of the six excellently managed tree-lined streets by the Korea Forest Service, officially recognizing them as representative premium tree-lined streets in the country. 

The excellent managed tree-lined streets were selected through a process initiated by the Korea Forest Service for the first time this year. After the initial screening, the final result was made through an on-site evaluation by experts. 

An Incheon City official stated that they will make their best efforts to create safe and beautiful tree-lined streets by promoting tree management policies that enhance the city’s quality of life and resonate with its citizens.





Incheon Tourism Organization Opens “2024 Incheon Fishing Expo”, A Marine Leisure Festival 


The Incheon Tourism Organization announced that the “2024 Incheon Fishing Expo,” Incheon’s marine leisure exhibition in Incheon, will be held for three days from the 23rd to the 25th at Songdo Convensia, co-hosted by the Incheon Tourism Organization and Seoul Messe. 

The exhibition will offer a variety of attractions and experiences for all visitors interested in marine leisure tourism, including anglers preparing for fall fishing. 

This year, there will also be various interactive events that visitors can enjoy. 





Incheon Jungang Library Operates After-School Program for the Second Half of the Year


The Incheon City Office of Education Jungang Library announced that it will operate the “2024 Village After-School Program in Collaboration with the Community” starting from the 28th. 

The “After-School Program in Collaboration with the Community” is an initiative designed to support after-school learning and care for children by utilizing the various human and material resources available in the community. In this program, aimed at elementary students, we will be running a children’s writer development program integrated with reading, walking, and writing activities. 

A representative from the Jungang Library stated that by providing a variety of reading culture programs for children who need after-school care, the program will foster creative talent and effectively balance learning and leisure 





Namdong District Volunteer Center Recruits Namdong Dog Patrol Unit


Incheon Namdong District Volunteer Center is recruiting the “Namdong Dog Patrol Unit” for volunteer activities with pets.

The Dog Patrol Unit involves pet owners and their dogs walking together to conduct safety inspections in the community and participate in various campaigns to improve local residents’ awareness. 

Selected members of the Dog Patrol Unit will receive support through an inaugural ceremony, capacity-building training, and other resources to ensure volunteer activities. The program is planned to run until December.
