"Songdo Beer Festival" 9-Day Event Starts Today

Incheon’s representative summer festival, the "Songdo Beer Festival," starts today.

Known as the Songmac Festival, the Songdo Beer Festival is divided into the SONG ZONE, DO ZONE, GLOBAL ZONE, and LOCAL FOOD ZONE.

In the Song Zone, there will be daily performances by famous singers until the festival ends on the 31st.

You can also enjoy over 200 food booths, craft beer, and various types of drinks.

Belgian Marine Research Institute Opens in Songdo, Incheon… "Synergy Effects Expected"

A renowned Belgian marine fusion research institute has opened in Incheon’s Songdo International City.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced the opening of the "MarineUGent Korea," a branch of the Marine Research Institute affiliated with Ghent University in Belgium, at the Incheon Global Campus (IGC) in Songdo.

MarineUGent Korea plans to promote various marine research and development (R&D) initiatives, foster new industries, and commercialize bio and environmental-related technologies while nurturing global talent.

Incheon Environmental Corporation to Host “Starry Night in Cheongna” Cultural Event at Cheongna Business Office

Incheon Environmental Corporation will host a cultural event titled “Starry Night in Cheongna” on the lawn of its Cheongna Business Office in Seo-gu, Incheon, on the 30th.

This event, co-hosted by Incheon City, is being held to commemorate the 5th Blue Sky Day, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of air quality and encourage environmental preservation efforts among citizens.

A representative from Incheon Environmental Corporation stated, "As the only environmentally specialized public enterprise in the region, we will continue to expand communication with citizens on environmental themes to create a cleaner Incheon."

Yeonsu District, Incheon to Hold “Mental Health Talk Concert” on Drug Abuse

The Yeonsu District Addiction Management Integrated Support Center, operated by Incheon’s Yeonsu District, announced it will host a mental health talk concert titled "I’m Not on Drugs" with residents, focusing on the growing social problem of drug abuse.

The talk concert, co-hosted by the Yeonsu District Addiction Management Integrated Support Center and the Incheon Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center, will be held on September 11th at the multipurpose hall of the Incheon Media Center, with pre-registration required.

Participation is free, and registration can be done by scanning the QR code in the promotional material or online by September 4th (Wednesday).
