Incheon City Launches Tumbler Sharing Campaign for Citizens' Day


Incheon Metropolitan City will launch a tumbler sharing campaign on October 12 to celebrate the 60th Citizens' Day. The event will take place at Incheon Grand Park and the City Hall's Aetul Square.

The event aims to encourage citizens to practice carbon neutrality by distributing tumblers donated by city officials and employees from related organizations, promoting the widespread use of tumblers.

The city believes that this summer's record heat waves have heightened awareness of the climate crisis among residents, making them more receptive to the importance of using tumblers and adopting carbon-neutral practices. Incheon City anticipates that this campaign will accelerate the spread of citizen-led initiatives in response to climate change.





Incheon City Launches '2024 Agricultural Specialties Market'


Incheon Metropolitan City will host the "2024 Agricultural Specialties Market" at the City Hall's Aetul Square from October 16 to 17.

Organized by Incheon City and coordinated by Incheon Agricultural Cooperative, the event aims to support local farmers facing difficulties in securing sales channels and to provide residents with high-quality agricultural products at reasonable prices.

Citizens will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of agricultural specialties at prices up to 30% lower than market rates.

Heal Environmental Diseases like Atopy and Asthma at Incheon Grand Park!


The Incheon Grand Park Office of Incheon Metropolitan City signed an agreement with the Incheon Environmental Health Center on October 8 to operate a forest healing program for residents concerned about environmental diseases.

This partnership seeks to enhance understanding of environmental diseases among citizens and promote psychological well-being and physical health through a foster healing program that utilizes the healing power of nature.

The healing program for environmental diseases will commence in October and is available free of charge to all Incheon residents who participate in the "Environmental Disease Citizen Health Check-up."





Seafood Festival to Take Place in Incheon This Weekend


Incheon Metropolitan City will hold a crab festival at the Incheon Complex Fish Market in YeonAn Pier in Jung-gu from October 12 (Saturday) to 13 (Sunday), while a salted shrimp festival will take place in Oepo Port, Naega-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, from October 11 (Friday) to 13 (Sunday).

These festivals aim to promote the excellence of Incheon’s representative seafood products, swimming crabs and salted shrimp, while also addressing the decline in seafood consumption caused by the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan.

An official from Incheon City expressed hopes that the seafood festival will boost the consumption of Incheon’s renowned swimming crabs and salted shrimp, known for their exceptional quality nationwide.
