IFEZ Hosts Youth Bio Academy for Future Leaders in Biotechnology


The Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) is organizing the ‘2024 Youth Bio Academy’ for young students nationwide, focusing on the future of biotechnology. 


Taking place from November 14 to 17 in Songdo, the academy will welcome elementary, middle, and high school students.


Participants will have the chance to meet experts in biotechnology, visit universities, tour companies, and explore the biotech industry at locations within Songdo’s renowned bio-cluster.





Incheon Begins Pfizer Vaccinations for Young Children on November 11


Starting November 11, Incheon will begin administering Pfizer vaccines for young children (ages 6 months to 4 years) who are immunocompromised.


Parents can book appointments by contacting designated medical centers, and details on these locations are available on the Vaccination Assistance website.


An Incheon official stated, “We hope high-risk groups, including immunocompromised individuals, can stay protected and healthy through timely vaccinations this fall and winter.”







Incheon Highlights 40 Years of the Local Auto Industry


The Incheon Urban History Museum will host a special exhibition, 40 Years of Incheon Automobiles: Journey to the My-Car Era, from November 12. The exhibit covers the history of Incheon’s auto industry, including companies like Saenara, Shinjin, Saehan, and Daewoo Motors from the 1960s to the late 1990s.


The exhibition, open on the museum’s second floor through February, will display classic models like the Corona, Crown, and Publica from Shinjin Motors in the lobby.





A Thousand-Year Tradition: Incheon Holds Traditional Hanji Craft Exhibition


Incheon’s Agricultural Technology Center is hosting Texture of Time, Hanji Craft from November 7 to 20. 


The exhibit, located at the center’s traditional Korean house, ‘Inhuijae,’ will showcase traditional Hanji (Korean paper) crafts created by students and instructors of the Hanji Craft course.


An Incheon official shared, “We hope this exhibition allows visitors to experience our unique cultural heritage through Hanji crafts and discover the multifaceted value of our agricultural and rural traditions.”
