Incheon High Court Opening Set for March 2028
The Incheon High Court is scheduled to open its doors in March 2028.
In a recent press briefing, Incheon Metropolitan City officials stated that the Incheon District Court building in Hakik-dong, Michuhol-gu, will be used for the new High Court.
The Court Administration Office will spend the next few years preparing by reallocating resources and staff to ensure the Incheon High Court is ready for its official opening on March 1, 2028.
Incheon’s Skyscraper Projects to Proceed as Planned, Maintaining Heights Over 400m
Incheon’s high-rise tower construction projects in Songdo and Cheongna will proceed as originally planned, with heights exceeding 400 meters, as air route safety concerns have been resolved.
According to the IFEZ, the Seoul Regional Aviation Administration has shared the results of its study on the impact of these skyscrapers on airport flight procedures with the IFEZ and the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
The study indicates that flight procedures at Incheon and Gimpo airports can be adjusted. The design process will be completed over the next year, with a request for flight procedure changes to be submitted to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport by the end of next year.
The Seoul Regional Aviation Administration has ensured that the procedure changes will proceed smoothly, having gathered input from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and airline representatives during the study.
Contract Extended for Incheon Deokjeokdo Outer Island Ferry Service
The passenger ferry that connects Incheon’s Deokjeokdo with five outer islands will continue its operations next year, following concerns over potential suspension due to reduced revenue.
The Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it has extended its contract with Daebu Shipping, the operator of the Deokjeokdo Jinri to Uldo Island route, which was originally set to end this month.
The contract extension begins on the 1st of next month and will last up to a year, supported by a budget of 609 million won.
Good Neighbors Donates Kimchi to Incheon Veterans for Year-End Celebrations
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it received a donation of kimchi worth 30 million won from Good Neighbors Incheon Branch and the Incheon Regional Sponsors Association for national veterans during the year-end season.
The donation ceremony was held yesterday (26th) in the central hall of Incheon City Hall.
This initiative is part of efforts to honor national veterans and encourage community sharing. The kimchi was distributed to needy households among members of 13 veterans' organizations in Incheon.
Since signing an agreement with Good Neighbors in June 2021 to promote veterans’ welfare and encourage donations, Incheon has been working closely to support vulnerable veterans and their families, and to promote a culture of respect for veterans.
