The Incheon Disability Housing Transition Support Center, under the Incheon Metropolitan City Public Agency for Social Service, has recently developed an 'Easy-to-Understand Independence Guide' to provide information to people with disabilities who wish to live independently.
The guide aims to enhance accessibility to information for people with disabilities, helping them make informed choices about community living and independent experiences. The content of the guide was finalized after being reviewed by people with disabilities to ensure it accurately reflects their needs.

Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Korean History Society Publish <Industries and Industrial Heritage of Modern and Contemporary Incheon>
The Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Korean History Society have published <Industries and Industrial Heritage of Modern and Contemporary Incheon> as the second volume of the Incheon Academic Series.
Since 2018, they have jointly organized annual symposiums to share topics related to Incheon’s history and culture with the public. This book supplements the outcomes of the 7th symposium held in June of last year.
<Industries and Industrial Heritage of Modern and Contemporary Incheon> contains research on the modern industries and industrial heritage of Incheon and its surrounding areas, which played a significant role in Korea's modern economic development.
Through this work, readers can explore the industrial development of Incheon from the 1920s through the post-liberation period, as well as the existing industrial heritage and potential future uses. It provides insight into Incheon’s evolution as an industrial city.
Incheon Agricultural Technology Center Accepting Applications for 2025 Rural Development Pilot and Support Projects
The Incheon Agricultural Technology Center is accepting applications for the 2025 rural development pilot and support projects until February 5.
The 2025 pilot and support projects in rural development will include 22 projects across three areas, with a total investment of 790 million KRW.
Detailed information about the projects can be found on the Incheon Agricultural Technology Center's website under the "2025 Rural Development Pilot Projects Announcement." After the application deadline, on-site surveys and reviews will be conducted, and the final selection of project recipients will be made in March.
Incheon Seo-gu to Hold Naming Contest This Month… 69% of Residents Support Name Change
Incheon Seo-gu will hold a public contest to change the district’s name from January 20 to 31.
Based on a recent public opinion survey showing 69.5% of residents in favor and 23% opposed to the change, Seo-gu has decided to proceed with the contest process.
The naming contest is open to all citizens aged 18 and older, and participants can submit their suggestions online through the Seo-gu website or via email.
After the contest, Seo-gu plans to conduct a preference survey and gather additional feedback from residents to select the final name, which will then be proposed to Incheon City.
