Residential Project in Songdo’s Prime ‘G5’ Block Speeds Up with Building Approval


A residential development project in Songdo International City’s prime ‘G5’ block is gaining momentum.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) recently held a building committee meeting and conditionally approved the construction plan for the G5 block in Songdo 3 Zone.

The project includes 1,544 apartment units, 96 officetel units, and commercial facilities.

A developer official stated, “We plan to address the suggestions made during the review process and aim to start sales in May next year.”





New Medical Ship for Incheon’s Island Residents to Begin Service in May


Incheon’s Ongjin-gun announced that it held a launching ceremony yesterday (3rd) for its new medical ship, ‘Health Ongjin-ho,’ built for providing healthcare services to island residents.

The newly constructed ship, which cost 12.6 billion KRW, has a capacity of 270 tons, can carry up to 44 passengers, and travels at a maximum speed of 46 km/h.

Starting in May, the ship will be deployed for island healthcare, offering 44 medical tours annually, each lasting 2 nights and 3 days.






Record-Breaking Donations Despite Cold Weather: Incheon Love Thermometer Hits All-Time High


The Incheon Community Chest of Korea announced that its ‘Hope 2025 Donation Campaign’ raised a record-breaking 11.77 billion KRW.

The campaign, which aimed to collect 10.88 billion KRW, ran for 61 days from December 2 last year until January 31.

The love thermometer gauge reached 100% on January 15 and ultimately recorded 108%.

The Incheon chapter attributed the success to active participation from local companies.




 New Cultural and Community Facility Planned for Yonghyeon and Hagik Area in Incheon


A new multipurpose cultural space will be built in the Yonghyeon and Hagik 1 area, a part of Incheon’s urban renewal project.

The city signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) yesterday (3rd) with DCR Co., Ltd. to carry out the cultural community facility project in the development zone.

The project aims to provide residents with high-quality cultural, sports, and administrative services while creating a space for communication and leisure.
