Incheon City Supports Small Business Owners with Childbirth and Childcare
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that from February 21, it will implement substitute worker support payments and childbirth allowance support for single-person small business owners to help ease the burden of childbirth and childcare for local small business owners.
This support project was initiated following an agreement signed between Incheon City, KB Financial Group, and the Korea Enterprises Federation in December last year, with KB Financial Group providing financial foundation through a 1 billion won donation.
Small business owners who have been operating businesses in Incheon for more than 6 months can receive support of 300,000 won per month for up to 3 months for hiring substitute workers. Recipients must be eligible for substitute worker hiring support payments as verified through the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Incheon City to Support Up to 310,000 Won for School Uniforms for Middle and High School Students Enrolling in Other Cities/Provinces
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will provide up to 310,000 won in school uniform purchase support for students entering middle and high schools in other cities and provinces.
Since 2019, Incheon City has been implementing a free school uniform support project, the first of its kind in the country, in collaboration with the Incheon Office of Education to reduce parents' educational expenses. Starting from 2023, the city has been providing school uniform purchase support entirely from city funds to students entering middle and high schools in other regions as well.
Eligible recipients are first-year students who are registered as residents of Incheon City as of their enrollment date and are entering middle or high schools or registered alternative education institutions located in other cities or provinces.
Incheon Furniture Fair to be Held at Songdo Convensia from February 28
The 2025 Incheon Furniture Fair will be held for four days from February 28 to March 3 at the Songdo Convensia Exhibition Center in Incheon.
This fair, officially sponsored by Incheon Metropolitan City and hosted by the Incheon Furniture Development Council, marks its 6th year since its inception in 2021.
Leading local specialty companies centered in Incheon, which has long led the furniture industry in various fields including furniture design, manufacturing, distribution, and sales, will directly participate to showcase creative designs and high-quality furniture at reasonable prices.
Art Center Incheon Opens Spring Semester Arts Education Academy Courses for 2025
Art Center Incheon announced that it will begin its 'Arts Education Academy Spring Semester Regular Courses' on March 18.
Now in its fifth year, the Art Center Incheon Arts Education Academy has been engaging citizens with diverse and enriching cultural arts programs, receiving enthusiastic response for elevating citizens' cultural literacy and broadening their connection with the arts.
Course registration will be available from 10 AM on the 27th through the Art Center Incheon website, and inquiries can be made through the Art Center Incheon website.
