Incheon's '1,000-Won Housing' Program Attracts Strong Interest
The City of Incheon’s '1,000-Won Housing' program, which provides housing to newlyweds and others for a daily rent of 1,000 won, has garnered significant attention from citizens.
Yesterday morning, the application process for prospective tenants began, and within just 20 minutes, over 200 households crowded the central hall of Incheon City Hall.
The '1,000-Won Housing' program will accept applications until the 14th, with 500 units slated for supply in Incheon this year. Eligible applicants include newlyweds without housing (within 7 years of marriage registration), prospective newlyweds, and single-parent families.
The rental period for the '1,000-Won Housing' is initially two years, with an extension support of up to six years available.
Korea Coast Guard Seeks 194 Coastal Safety Keepers
The Korea Coast Guard or KCG has announced a recruitment for 194 Coastal Safety Keepers to carry out accident prevention activities in 97 coastal danger zones nationwide. These keepers will be selected from local residents familiar with the regional characteristics.
From May to October, the Coastal Safety Keepers will work alongside KCG officers to inspect facilities and perform rescue operations in hazardous areas across the country. The keepers will work in pairs, receiving an hourly wage of 10,000 won on weekdays and 15,000 won on weekends.
Applicants can visit a local KCG office to submit their application forms in person or download the forms from the KCG website and send them by mail between the 26th of this month and the 1st of next month.
Ganghwa Island Pursues Establishment of National Goryeo Museum
The process to establish the National Ganghwa Goryeo Museum on Ganghwa Island, a prominent region steeped in the history of the Goryeo Dynasty, will be in full swing.
Ganghwa-gun will initiate a signature campaign next month to drive efforts for the establishment of the museum. In May, a policy forum will be held to discuss the importance of building the museum, followed by the submission of a construction proposal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
Ganghwa-gun is committed to creating a space that focuses on the history, identity, and cultural heritage of the Goryeo Dynasty, centered around the National Museum.
Strengthened Traditional Medicine Support for Infertility Treatments
Yeonsu-gu in Incheon is expanding its 'Traditional Korean Medicine Infertility Treatment Support Program' to help couples facing infertility, with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
This project aims to provide infertility treatment opportunities using traditional Korean medicine for both women and men. The support amount has been increased this year from 1.2 million won to 1.5 million won, allowing for high-quality, personalized herbal treatments.
Eligible couples are those diagnosed with infertility who have their resident registration in Yeonsu-gu as of the application date and actually live there. There are no restrictions based on income or age, and common-law couples are also eligible for support.
