Incheon City Recruits Participants for Eco-Friendly ‘Eum Garden’


Incheon City has announced the recruitment of participants for ‘Eum Garden’, an eco-friendly urban farm that avoids the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and plastic materials.

Established in 2021 on idle land owned by Songdo International City Development LLC (NSIC), Eum Garden marks its 5th year of operation in 2025.

This year, the garden will cover 14,750㎡, offering 330 plots for individuals and 26 community plots for groups of five or more people.

Participation is free of charge, but participants are required to engage in mandatory volunteer activities to support garden operations and regularly donate a portion of their harvests for community sharing.





Incheon Launches AI-Powered Customized Job Training for New Civil Servants


Incheon City has officially launched an AI-based chatbot using ChatGPT to provide customized job training for newly appointed civil servants with less than five years of service, aiming to reduce early turnover.

The chatbot, now available as a formal service, allows new employees to ask questions anytime about promotion, salary, leave, and personnel matters, building a continuous learning system.

Additionally, the city plans to continue supporting its newcomers through programs such as the “1 Night 2 Days Camp for Newcomers”, Welcome Kits, and mentorship and counseling services for personalized guidance and support.





Ongjin-gun to Support Renovation of Aging Homes in Five West Sea Islands


Ongjin-gun, Incheon, has selected 10 households for its Old House Renovation Program in the Five West Sea Islands (Baengnyeongdo, Yeonpyeongdo, etc.).

After reviewing 69 applicants, Ongjin-gun selected the final recipients based on residency duration and home condition following on-site inspections.

The program supports residents who have lived on the islands for more than six months and own houses over 20 years old, helping them rebuild or renovate their homes within existing footprints.

Each selected household will receive up to 40 million KRW, covering up to 80% of construction costs, with a total budget of 4 billion KRW allocated for this year.





Incheon Office of Education Releases Eight Career and Academic Planning Guides


To support students in career and academic planning, the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education has distributed eight new educational resources for the new school year.

The materials include Career, academic, and job roadmaps tailored for elementary, middle, general high schools, and vocational high school students (4 types), Career and academic guidebooks for middle and high school students, Overview of the 2026 university admissions system and preview of college entrance procedures. (Total of 8)

These resources are available on the Incheon Cyber Career Education Center website and via QR codes, providing easy access for students, parents, and teachers. The guides are formatted as Q&A to enhance usability and meet diverse information needs.
