Incheon City Announces 'Support Program for Small Business Closure and Business Transition'
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced it will implement a 'Support Program for Small Business Closure and Business Transition' to ease the burden on small business owners contemplating closure due to deteriorating business conditions caused by high interest rates and inflation, and to help those who have inevitably closed their businesses make a stable comeback.
Incheon City will provide two business recovery consulting sessions and store demolition expenses to small business owners who have closed their businesses after January 1, 2025, or plan to close within three months from the date of application.
Support funds can be applied for after receiving recovery support consulting, which includes business settlement and guidance on restarting a business. The program will continue until the budget is exhausted.
Incheon City Transforms with 'Humanitude'
Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Metropolitan Dementia Center have formally adopted 'Humanitude,' a human-centered care technique, to ensure the dignity of dementia patients and reduce the burden on caregivers. This approach has been implemented in public dementia care facilities since 2023.
As of the end of 2024, a total of 356 dementia care workers in Incheon's public dementia facilities have completed the four-day basic Humanitude care training program and are now practicing care based on respect and consideration.
An Incheon City official stated, "Humanitude is a solution that can lead to changes in care methods. We will continue to establish a sustainable care culture centered on respect and consideration through ongoing application and expansion of special lectures.“
Incheon City Steps Up to Support Vulnerable Groups and Small Manufacturers
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will implement the '2025 Special Guarantee Support for Vulnerable Groups' Hope Dream and Small Manufacturers' starting March 19 to help financially vulnerable small business owners achieve economic independence and support growth in the manufacturing sector.
The 'Special Guarantee for Vulnerable Groups' Hope Dream' will operate with a total budget of 10 billion won, targeting socially disadvantaged groups such as small business owners with credit ratings of 6 or lower or simplified taxpayers, people with disabilities, basic livelihood security recipients, and single-parent families.
Businesses can receive loans of up to 20 million won per company, with loan terms structured as a one-year grace period followed by equal principal repayments over four years.
Agricultural Technology Center Recruiting Participating Organizations for Mobile Healing Agriculture Program
Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok) Agricultural Technology Center is beginning recruitment for participating organizations in the "2025 Mobile Healing Agriculture Program," aimed at promoting institutional connections through cooperation with related organizations and successful expansion of healing agriculture.
Recruitment for target organizations for the 2025 Mobile Healing Agriculture Program will be conducted from the 17th to the 21st, with a total of 2 organizations to be selected.
Selected organizations will receive healing agriculture programs tailored to the characteristics of their target participants, and the program will operate once a week for a total of 8 sessions from April to June.
