Incheon Metropolitan City has announced the operation of the 2025 Mobile Disaster Safety Experience Booths to enhance citizens' disaster response capabilities.
This initiative is designed to provide citizens with hands-on disaster safety experiences at various events, helping them improve their practical response skills.
The experience booths will be set up at four events hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City and its districts from April to September this year. At these booths, visitors will have the opportunity to experience various disaster scenarios and learn effective response methods in times of crisis.
Incheon Cancels Cherry Blossom Festival at Incheon Grand Park Due to Wildfire Risks
The Cherry Blossom Festival at Incheon Grand Park has been canceled due to ongoing wildfire emergencies nationwide.
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the 2025 Incheon Grand Park Cherry Blossom Festival, originally scheduled for April 5–6, will not be held.
As a result, all festival-related events, including the opening ceremony and celebratory performances, have been canceled. However, essential amenities, such as nighttime illumination, will continue to operate as usual to accommodate visitors coming to enjoy the cherry blossoms with their families.
Incheon Launches Policy Idea Contest for Public Officials
Incheon Metropolitan City is calling for policy ideas from its public officials to drive innovation in livelihood policies.
Under the theme "My Own 'God-like' (Outstanding) Livelihood Policy," the contest will accept submissions from April 1 to April 30.
This initiative is led by the newly established Livelihood Affairs Division, the first of its kind in the country. The goal is to raise awareness among public officials about livelihood issues and gather diverse policy proposals.
The term "God-like life" (갓생, "Gotsaeng") is a popular slang term in Korea referring to a diligent and meaningful lifestyle. Through this contest, the city aims to identify and implement practical policies that citizens can truly benefit from.
Discovering the Hidden Gems of Incheon: Incheon i-Bada Pass Island Tour
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced the pilot operation of the "Vivid Administration Treasure Island Tour – Yeonpyeong Island", in conjunction with the Incheon i-Bada Pass, the first program in the country allowing passengers to travel to islands using the city bus fare of just 1,500 KRW.
As its name suggests, the Treasure Island Tour focuses on rediscovering the unique values and charms of Incheon’s islands.
The tour includes visits to key locations such as the security education center, Peace Park, the Yellow Croaker History Hall, the Seo Jeong-woo Memorial, the Peace Observatory, and the 7th Artillery Company. Participants will gain firsthand insight into the importance of national security and peace through this immersive experience.
