Incheon City Opens Applications for 'I() Plus Connecting' Participants


Incheon Metropolitan City is accepting applications for the 'I() Plus Connecting' couples festival from May 14 to June 11, aimed at helping single men and women form natural and healthy relationships.

Part of the Incheon Birth Policy initiative, the program is designed to support unmarried men and women in Incheon who wish to get married by helping them build new connections.

The program will run five times between June and November, with a total of 460 participants. Eligible applicants include single men and women aged 24 to 39 who either reside in Incheon or work for a company based in the city. Freelancers and self-employed individuals are also welcome to apply.






Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra Presents 2025 Family Concert in Celebration of Family Month


In celebration of Family Month, the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra will present a special event, the ‘2025 Family Concert,’ designed for all generations to enjoy together.

The performance will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at the Haenuri Theater in the Bupyeong Arts Center. The concert will feature a diverse program that is sure to please everyone from children new to classical music to long-time enthusiasts.

Tickets for the ‘2025 Family Concert’ are priced at 10,000 won for all seats and can be purchased through the Incheon Culture and Arts Center, NTicket, and Interpark Ticket.






Woori Art Museum Hosts 2025 Exhibition ‘Ways of Landscape’


Woori Art Museum, operated by the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture, will present ‘Ways of Landscape’ from May 8 to June 30, 2025.

The exhibition features photographic works by artist Ahn Woo-dong, who was selected through the museum’s 2025 open call.

The exhibition will be held at Woori Art Museum from May 8 to June 30, 2025, and admission is free. 







Incheon Institute for Talent and Lifelong Education Hosts ‘2025 Bread of Love’ Volunteer Service with Scholarship Students


On April 30, the Incheon Institute for Talent and Lifelong Education held its ‘2025 Bread of Love’ volunteer service in celebration of Family Month, supporting children at local childcare centers in Incheon.

More than 40 people, including employees of the institute, members of the city council's administrative safety committee, scholarship students, and Incheon citizens, participated in the volunteer service, baking cupcakes together and showing warm neighborly love. 

The group later visited two childcare centers, Hyangjinwon and Boramae Nursery School, to deliver the 800 cupcakes made during the event.







Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Selects Leading Schools for ‘Questioning Schools’


The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education has selected three elementary schools and four high schools as leading schools for this year's Questioning Schools to support deeper learning by spreading a culture of student-led, question-based instruction. 

The selected elementary schools are Incheon Shinjeong Elementary, Incheon Wanggil Elementary, and Yeonghwa Elementary. These schools are dedicated to teaching students how to ask questions effectively and running problem-solving programs based on inquiry.

An official from the Incheon Office of Education stated, “We will support students' conceptual understanding and self-directed growth by establishing question-centered classes in schools.”






Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Takes Action to Prevent Secondary Damage from SKT SIM Card Data Leak


The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education has implemented its own measures in response to the recent SKT data leak.

These measures aim to proactively address the potential misuse of mobile phone-based authentication services and ensure safe educational services by protecting personal information.

The Incheon Office of Education will inspect the use of mobile phone authentication across all information systems operated by the main office, Education Support Offices, and affiliated institutions. Additionally, it has recommended the adoption of alternative verification methods, including i-PIN, Digital One Pass, and SNS-based authentication.





Ongjin-gun Extends Tourism Campaign for Tourists


Ongjin-gun, Incheon, will extend its campaign to eradicate illegal activities and increase local consumption, originally held at coastal passenger terminals and docks for tourists visiting the islands from April 21 to May 2, until the 5th of next month.

Ongjin-gun launched the campaign as the number of tourists has been increasing since the spring season following the implementation of the Incheon i-Sea Pass across all islands, raising concerns about unauthorized harvesting of wild plants and illegal fishing activities potentially disrupting the livelihoods of local residents.

During the extended period, Ongjin-gun will continue to deliver campaign messages such as ▶ Eradicate illegal harvesting ▶ Prevent unauthorized fishing ▶ Take your trash with you ▶ Increase local spending on the islands through various promotional activities.





Namdong Cultural Foundation Seeks Local Hubs for 'Artist Next Door' Project


The Namdong Cultural Foundation in Incheon is now accepting applications for the ‘Artist Next Door’ Project, part of its cultural welfare initiative.

This project will be carried out in Mansu-dong, Namchon-dong, and Ganseok-dong, areas designated for urban regeneration in Namdong-gu, and aims to foster a self-sustaining cultural community in these older districts, where access to culture and the arts is relatively limited.

Selected hubs will receive support for hosting small-scale performances and educational programs, as well as assistance with creating promotional materials. Through these community-driven events, local residents will have more opportunities to experience culture and the arts within their immediate surroundings.
