Job Fair for People with Disabilities to Be Held at Incheon City Hall on May 27


Incheon Metropolitan City will host the Incheon Job Fair for People with Disabilities on May 27 at the Central Hall of Incheon City Hall.

The fair is the second in the 2025 Incheon Year-round Job Fair series and is jointly organized by Incheon City, the Jungbu Regional Office of Employment and Labor, the Incheon Branch of the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and the Incheon Port Authority.

A total of 28 companies will participate in the event to recruit new talent, with two of them planning to operate indirect recruitment booths instead of participating on-site.







Incheon Holds Inauguration Ceremony for 10th Class of Young MICE Leaders


Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization held the inauguration ceremony for the 10th class of Incheon Young MICE Leaders on May 21 at Songdo Convensia.

The Incheon Young MICE Leaders program is designed to train professionals in the MICE industry and is organized by Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization.

Now in its 10th year, the program will offer more diverse opportunities and higher-quality content than in previous years. These include career support and consulting, job networking opportunities with local partners, participation in MICE-related activities, specialized lectures and training, hands-on experience at international conferences and exhibitions, and exchange programs with other local governments.







Incheon City Launches Public Contest for Local Heritage Proposals


Incheon Metropolitan City will hold a public contest from May 26 to June 9 to collect citizen proposals for the newly introduced ‘Incheon Local Heritage’ designation, set to begin in 2025.

Incheon Local Heritage refers to tangible and intangible assets with value worth passing on to future generations, such as objects, figures, or everyday stories rooted in Incheon’s history.

The contest is open to all individuals interested in local heritage. Applications can be submitted via email at iheritage@korea.kr or through the Incheon City website during the application period.







Incheon Metropolitan City Dance Theatre to Present Special Project ‘Dancing City Incheon 2025’


Incheon Metropolitan City Dance Theatre will present its special project ‘Dancing City Incheon 2025’ from June 7 to 21.

Launched in 2008, Dancing City Incheon is a dance festival that emphasizes open stages and shared experiences. This year's program will feature a series of outdoor performances and a closing performance, aiming to transform the city with dance.

All performances are free of charge, but advance registration is required for the closing performance through the Incheon Culture and Arts Center website.







Yeonsu-gu to Hold 9th Book Festival Along the Seunggicheon


Yeonsu-gu in Incheon will host the 9th Yeonsu Book Festival on May 24 at the Grass Square near the Seunggicheon.

This year’s festival, held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Yeonsu-gu’s establishment, will be themed ‘Coexistence, Sharing, and Empathy.’ The event will showcase a variety of reading and cultural programs, featuring participation from public and small libraries, reading clubs, local bookstores, and affiliated organizations.

Buk-gu Library to Close in July and August for Renovation


The Buk-gu Library of the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education will undergo renovation with an investment of 640 million won to create a more convenient and pleasant reading environment for citizens.

A video display will be installed at the first-floor entrance to share news from the Office of Education and the library, and a new seating area will be created for reading.

Construction will take place from July to September, with the library scheduled to close during July and August.

Since its opening in 1991, Buk-gu Library has served an average of 2,391 visitors per day as of last year. However, aging facilities have led to lower user satisfaction, prompting the decision to renovate.
