Incheon City announced that it has been selected as a nationwide 'top excellence institution' in the '2025 Disaster Management Assessment' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and will receive a presidential commendation.
The disaster management assessment is an evaluation that comprehensively diagnoses the capabilities of disaster management responsible institutions, including central government ministries and local governments, across all disaster management processes including prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. It is conducted annually to enhance each institution's sense of responsibility and management capabilities.
Incheon City, selected as a top excellence institution, is scheduled to receive institutional commendations along with special grant funding in the future. The scale of support will be announced by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

Incheon City announced that it operated "Warming Hearts, Theater Outing" on the 7th at the Haenuri Theater in Bupyeong Art Center to help families of mental illness patients share emotions and regain peace of mind.
This program was designed to allow families to temporarily set aside their daily routines and have time for understanding each other and recovery through cultural activities.
Incheon City plans to continue operating various customized programs to strengthen psychological recovery and social support foundations for families of mental illness patients.
Incheon City Conducts Water Quality and Beach Environment Surveys at Summer Beaches
The Incheon Institute of Health and Environment announced that it will conduct water quality and beach environment surveys targeting about 20 beaches in the region.
This survey is a preemptive measure to prevent infectious diseases that may occur at beaches during summer and to create a safe marine environment.
Beach water quality surveys will be conducted in three phases by period: before opening, during operation, and after closure, while beach surveys will be conducted once before opening.
The survey results will be provided to relevant departments, and citizens can directly check them on the Institute of Health and Environment website and the Marine Environment Information System (MEIS).
Incheon City to Create New Waterways and Pursue Dredging
Incheon City has launched an environmental improvement project to resolve the odor problem at the Incheon Bridge detention pond.
Incheon City announced that it plans to complete a service contract for establishing a basic plan for the Incheon Bridge detention pond environmental improvement project by November.
Based on the service results, the city plans to proceed with basic and detailed design next year, then complete "dry riverbed creation" work to make the interior of the detention pond dry by 2028 and dredge the sediment.

Air-linked cruises (Fly & Cruise) connecting Incheon Port and Incheon Airport are expanding.
This year's air-linked cruises at Incheon Port reached a record high of 16 ships (63,000 passengers), which is 3.2 times the level of last year's 5 ships (15,000 passengers).
The IPA (Incheon Port Authority) plans to further expand and attract air-linked cruises based on the proximity of Incheon Port and Incheon Airport, the nation's largest cruise pier facilities, and the operational know-how of cruise terminal home port operations.

The Incheon City Council Construction and Transportation Committee held a seminar titled "Incheon-style Urban Development Status Analysis and System Operation Improvement Plan" with the theme "Finding Incheon's Future Path" on the 5th in the 5th floor conference room of the council annex.
An official who attended the seminar said, "We hope this seminar will serve as an opportunity to achieve institutional improvements that enhance the effectiveness, publicness, and predictability of Incheon-style urban development."
