Incheon City Hosts Community-Centered End-of-Life Care Symposium
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will hold the '2025 Community-Centered End-of-Life Care Symposium' on June 23rd at Maria Hall of Catholic University of Korea Incheon St. Mary's Hospital, jointly organized by the Metropolitan Dementia Center, which is a contracted institution for dementia management projects, and regional hospice centers.
This symposium is organized under the theme of 'End-of-Life Care for Dementia Patients in the Era of the Integrated Care Support Act' as a forum to contemplate and discuss ways to ensure that the final lives of dementia patients can continue with greater dignity in the changing institutional environment.
This symposium, now in its fourth year, is expected to feature in-depth discussions focusing on the necessity and implementation tasks of community-based care systems for dementia patients ahead of the implementation of the 「Integrated Care Support Act」.
Incheon City Promotes 2025 Small-Scale Industry Smart Manufacturing Support Enhancement Project
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will recruit eligible companies from June 9th to 27th in accordance with the promotion of the '2025 Small-Scale Industry Smart Manufacturing Support Enhancement Project.'
This project is promoted with the purpose of strengthening the competitiveness of small-scale industries in the rapidly changing manufacturing environment, including digital transformation.
The support targets are small-scale industries located in Incheon that have been selected for the '2025 Smart Manufacturing Support Project' supervised by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Incheon City plans to select and support approximately 100 companies in total.
Incheon City Hosts '2025 Incheon Tourism Talent Development Academy'
Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they will hold the '2025 Incheon Tourism Talent Development Academy' for five days from June 23rd to 27th.
This academy, which has produced a total of 1,401 trainees since the opening of the Incheon Tourism Business Support Center in 2020, was established to strengthen the practical capabilities of tourism industry workers in the Incheon region and to cultivate excellent talent in the tourism field.
Participation is open to anyone interested in tourism, including tourism company employees in the Incheon region, as well as current students and graduates of local universities.
Michuhol Library Operates 'Hearts Meeting Through Books' with People with Developmental Disabilities
Incheon Metropolitan City's Michuhol Library announced that it has been selected for the '2025 Reading Culture Program for People with Disabilities' public contest project supervised by the National Library for the Disabled, and will expand library services for the knowledge and information vulnerable population.
This project is a public contest project promoted by the National Library for the Disabled to provide quality reading experiences to people with disabilities, who are culturally vulnerable, and to reduce the information gap and expand cultural enjoyment opportunities.
This year's contest recruited participating institutions by four disability types - visual, hearing, developmental, and physical disabilities - targeting public libraries, libraries for the disabled, and special schools nationwide, with a total of 140 institutions selected. Michuhol Library was selected for the project as an operating institution in the developmental disability field.
Incheon City Council Construction and Transportation Committee Discusses Innovation in Incheon City's Urban Development System
A forum was held at the Incheon City Council to diagnose the current state of Incheon City's urban development projects and find institutional problems and improvement directions.
The Incheon City Council Construction and Transportation Committee held a seminar titled "Incheon-style Urban Development Status Analysis and System Operation Improvement Plan" with the theme "Finding Incheon's Future Path" on the 5th in the 5th floor conference room of the council annex.
An official who attended the seminar said, "We hope this seminar will serve as an opportunity to achieve institutional improvements that enhance the effectiveness, publicness, and predictability of Incheon-style urban development."
