Incheon Imposes 651.6 Billion in September Property Tax, Payment Due by 30th


Incheon City imposed 651.6 billion in September property tax yesterday (15th) on 1.48 million cases of land and housing owners.

According to the city, this property tax includes a community facility tax and local education tax, and is imposed twice a year, in July and September, on those who own houses, land, or buildings as of June 1 each year.

Land and housing owners must pay the property tax by the 30th, and a 3% late fee will be added if the deadline is missed.






Incheon to Conduct Intensive Inspections of Food Businesses Near Multi-Use Facilities During Fall Travel Season


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will conduct hygiene inspections for five days, from September 22 to 26, on 112 cooking and sales businesses near multi-use facilities that see more visitors during the fall travel season.

The inspection targets restaurants, cafés, and food trucks near highway rest areas, terminals, parks, hiking trails, campsites, and resorts. Businesses without inspections in the past two years or with records of administrative action will be prioritized to increase effectiveness.

Main items include kitchen hygiene and facility standards, personal hygiene, food storage and handling, use and sale of unregistered products, expired food storage, reuse of food, and management of frying oil.






‘2025 International Peace and Security Forum Incheon’ Successfully Held


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it held the ‘2025 International Peace and Security Forum Incheon (IPSF Incheon)’ yesterday (15th) at Songdo Convensia.

The forum was co-hosted by Incheon City and Normandy Region of France, and co-organized by the Incheon Institute and the Caen Memorial. About 1,000 participants, including representatives from Korean War allied nations, experts at home and abroad, and young generations, attended to highlight Incheon’s international status and reputation as a city of peace.

The city said it will use this forum to further strengthen Incheon’s status as a “City of Peace” by sharing values of peace, solidarity, and cooperation with the world.






Woori Museum of Art Holds 10th Anniversary Exhibition


Worri Museum of Art, operated by the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture, will hold the exhibition <10 Years, Memories of the Space> from September 16 to November 25 to mark its 10th anniversary in 2025.

The exhibition consists of three parts: Part 1 features paintings, Part 2 features photographs and media works, and Part 3 features three-dimensional works.

The exhibition will be held at Worri Museum of Art from September 16 to November 25, 2025, and admission is free.






Michuhol Library Holds Original Picture Exhibition by Author Suh Sunjung


Incheon Metropolitan City’s Michuhol Library announced that it will hold the exhibition Rustle Rustle, A Handful of Imagination by Suh Sunjung until November 27. The exhibition features original illustrations from picture books loved by readers, along with unpublished drawings.

This exhibition introduces the artist’s world of work, which captures subtle details of everyday life, and is organized around five picture books.

Visitors can see not only original illustrations but also drawings not included in books, offering a special look at the artist’s work.






Ganghwa-gun to Hold the 17th Ganghwa Shrimp Festival on October 10


Incheon’s Ganghwa-gun will hold the 17th Ganghwa Shrimp Festival for three days from October 10 to 12 at Oepo Port in Naega-myeon, right after the Chuseok holiday.

Ganghwa is the nation’s largest production area for salted shrimp, producing 70% of Korea’s total. The shrimp, rich in minerals from the West Sea and traditionally fermented, are known for their thin shells and excellent texture, attracting buyers nationwide every kimchi-making season.

At this year’s festival, visitors can purchase fresh shrimp directly at the local market and join programs such as catching shrimp, making kimchi, and making salted shrimp. Cotton candy making, traditional games, and face painting for children are also prepared for family visitors.






Incheon Jung-gu Renovates Bicycle Paths Linked to 300-ri Bike Network


Incheon Jung-gu is working on bicycle path maintenance in the Yeongjong and Yongyu areas.

According to Jung-gu, it will carry out the Yeongjong International City Bicycle Path Maintenance Project from this month through November, linked to the 300-ri Bike Network Project.

The project will repair sections with poor pavement conditions, subsidence, or damage, among the 300-ri network, to provide safe and pleasant cycling conditions. The total budget is 1 billion.







Gyeyang-gu to Hold ‘2025 Youth Week Event’


Incheon Gyeyang-gu announced that it will hold a youth week event from September 20 to 26 to mark Youth Day (the third Saturday of September).

The event, under the theme “Even Running Youth Need Rest,” aims to provide empathy, communication, and healing through programs planned and participated in by young people.

The event will feature performances by youth groups, a lecture by writer and economic columnist Kim Kyung-pil titled Escape from an Empty Wallet! Surviving with Smart Asset Management, as well as side events such as caricatures, tarot counseling, and job interview photo sessions.
