Incheon to Launch Feasibility Study for Yeongheung Future Energy Park
Incheon City will begin a preliminary feasibility study next month for the planned “Yeongheung Future Energy Park” on Yeongheung Island in Ongjin-gun.
The 3.75 million-square-meter project aims to transform the existing coal-fired power plant into a carbon-free facility, while also building clean hydrogen production facilities and a high-tech industrial complex.
The complex is expected to include a data center, a research and development hub, and support facilities for offshore wind power.
Incheon City will sign an agreement with participating agencies this month and launch the feasibility study in October.

Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization have partnered with the Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare to strengthen the expertise of medical staff involved in attracting foreign patients.

Jung-gu in Incheon City is rolling out a new “Mobile Apartment Obesity Prevention Program” starting this September, aimed at providing tailored health support for residents.
The initiative brings health services directly to newly built apartments, where in-house wellness programs are often limited. The program, run by the International Urban Health Division of Jung-gu Public Health Center, will focus on reducing waistlines and increasing muscle mass among participants.
