Incheon City to Expand Phase 2 of “i-Smart Payment Notification Service”
Incheon City announced it has set up a plan to expand the “i-Smart Payment Notification Service,” which has improved convenience for local tax payments, to include delinquent notices, refunds, and arrears of non-tax revenue, and will officially operate from January 2026.
According to the city, the Phase 1 service, launched on March 20, sent 1.29 million mobile electronic documents through Kakao AlimTalk, helping busy citizens avoid missing deadlines and reducing the burden of late fees.
The Phase 2 project will expand from regular and delinquent local taxes to include delinquent notices, refunds, and non-tax revenue arrears. The city will reflect opinions of tax departments in gu and gun, develop the system, conduct test messages, and complete the project by December this year.

The Incheon Office of Education announced that 18 new schools (8 elementary, 2 middle, 8 high schools) will be designated as “Gyeol-Dae-Ro-Jaram Schools” from March 1, 2026.

Ganghwa-gun First in Incheon to Fully Waive Parking Fees for National Merit Holders
Ganghwa-gun announced it will become the first in Incheon to waive all parking fees at public parking lots for national merit holders, starting on the 26th.
To do this, the county revised the “Ganghwa-gun Parking Lot Installation and Management Ordinance” and will fully implement the exemption.
According to the revised ordinance, parking fees at public parking lots will be fully exempted for national merit holders, Agent Orange victims, special mission merit holders, persons eligible for compensation, war veterans, and May 18 Democratization Movement injured persons.

Seo-gu recorded the highest distribution rate in Incheon on the first day of the second application for livelihood recovery consumer coupons, speeding up the recovery of the local economy.

Incheon Social Service Agency Conducts Human Rights Monitoring at Disability Facilities
The Incheon Social Service Agency announced it carried out human rights monitoring at its disability residential facilities to prevent recurrence of rights violations and abuse.
The agency formed inspection teams with facility heads and two staff from the facility support department, and inspected three facilities under its management – Incheon Shelter for Disabled Victims, Shelter for Disabled Children Victims, and Michuhol Pureunae – from September 16 to 18.

Incheon City and the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture announced they will hold the “Youth Culture Festival 2025 – Just a Little Different, Jeon(展)” at the lawn square in Songdo Central Park on September 27.
According to the foundation, the festival is linked to Youth Day (the third Saturday of September) and marks the finale of Youth Week programs hosted at the Incheon Youth Culture Creation Center “Start Space.” It aims to showcase the uniqueness of youth through performances and activities of local arts groups.

Yeonsu Foundation for Arts and Culture to Hold Lifestyle Culture Festival “Culture All Day Yeonsu!”
The Yeonsu Foundation for Arts and Culture announced it will hold the “Lifestyle Culture Festival 2025 – Culture All Day Yeonsu!” at the Hanmaeum Square of Yeonsu-gu Office on September 27.
The festival will bring together lifestyle culture clubs active across the gu to share their achievements with residents.
