Incheon City Offers Free Health Checkups for Foreign Residents


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will provide free health checkups for foreign residents on October 26 from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Migrant Worker’s Center from Catholic Diocese of Incheon.

The program aims to support the health management of foreign residents and to promote the prevention and early detection of infectious diseases such as Hansen’s disease and tuberculosis.

The checkup includes a medical interview, blood tests, and X-rays. Depending on the results, participants may be referred to specialized hospitals for further examination or treatment.






Incheon City Conducts Second Training Program for Child Abuse Response Officers


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it held the second capacity-building training for 26 child abuse response officers from each Gun and Gu in Incheon at the Bridge Hotel in Songdo today.

The training was designed to enhance the officers’ professional expertise and their capacity for well-coordinated on-site response to ensure swift and systematic responses to child abuse cases.

Key topics included interviews strategies for child abuse victims and interventions for each type, case studies and treatments of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and practical analyses of various child abuse investigation cases.






Incheon City Hosts “Chrysanthemum Fragrance Horticulture Program” Exhibition


Gyeyang Park Office of Incheon city announced that it is hosting an exhibition featuring works by participants of the Chrysanthemum Fragrance Horticulture Program from October 20 to 27 at the Suin Line Wind Trail Forest in Michuhol-gu.

The Chrysanthemum Fragrance Horticulture Program is a new initiative launched this year with a newly secured budget by the Gyeyang Park Office, held at the Yeonhui Park Flower Nursery from April to October 2025, spanning about seven months.

A total of 19 citizens participated, learning chrysanthemum cultivation theory and gaining hands-on experience in all stages of growing chrysanthemums, including transplanting, replanting, pruning, branch luring, staking, thinning, bud selection, and calyx attachment.





Incheon City’s Plan to Relocate Social Welfare Center Passes Central Investment Review


Plans to relocate the Incheon Social Welfare Center—a long-awaited project for citizens and welfare workers and a key initiative to adapt to the rapidly changing welfare environment—have gained new momentum.

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the relocation project has passed the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s central investment review.

The review approved the project on the condition that the city conduct prior consultations to ensure fair allocation of office space, establish a cooperative governance system, and prepare a plan to secure stable financial resources.




Environmental Corporation of Incheon Named “Laboratory of Excellence” in International Water Quality Proficiency Test


Environmental Corporation of Incheon’s environmental research institute has been certified as a “Laboratory of Excellence” in the international water quality proficiency testing organized by the U.S.-based Environmental Resource Associates (ERA).

ERA is a globally recognized proficiency testing organization accredited by ISO/IEC 17043, which conducts rigorous assessments of data reliability and accuracy among environmental testing and inspection institutions worldwide each year.

The corporation has consistently achieved top ratings in domestic proficiency tests conducted by Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER). This international recognition reaffirms its status as a globally trusted environmental analysis institution.
