‘인천형 워터케어’는 수질검사원이 각 가정을 직접 방문해 탁도, 수소이온농도(pH), 잔류염소, 철, 구리 등 5개 항목을 현장에서 즉시 검사하고 결과를 안내하는 수돗물 무료 수질검사 서비스입니다.
지난해 서비스 이용자 만족도가 95%로 높게 나타나는 등 시민 호응이 높아, 올해부터는 가정집뿐 아니라 학교, 어린이집, 노인복지시설, 지역아동센터 등으로 검사 대상을 확대해 운영합니다.
Incheon Expands Free Visiting Water Quality Inspection Service
The Incheon Waterworks Headquarters will expand the “Incheon-Type Water Care” service, allowing residents to directly verify the safety of tap water. Under the program, water quality inspectors visit households to conduct on-site tests for five items: turbidity, pH, residual chlorine, iron, and copper. Results are provided immediately, free of charge. With user satisfaction reaching 95% last year, the program will expand beyond private homes this year to include schools, daycare centers, senior welfare facilities, and local children’s centers.

Korea Coast Guard Implements Safety Measures During Heavy Fog Season
The Korea Coast Guard will implement safety management measures during the period from March to July, when dense sea fog frequently occurs. Designating this timeframe as a period of dense fog, the agency plans to deploy patrol vessels near 84 areas at sea that have been identified as accident-prone. It will also strengthen control in low-visibility waters and intensively inspect safety management conditions for fishing vessels and passenger ships.

Incheon’s Seo-gu will produce an odor map in response to hundreds of malodor-related complaints filed each year. Seo-gu announced that it will utilize data accumulated through surveys since 2020 to create a map that allows residents to identify odor emission sources at a glance. The district plans to visualize odor-emitting facilities, complaint status, and data collected by odor measurement and analysis vehicles by linking them with a geographic information system.

The “On-site City Policy Tour - Yeonpeyong Island Course,” which received strong public response last year, will expand from a pilot operation to regular service. Incheon Metropolitan City has prepared an institutional basis to substantially guarantee transportation rights for bedridden persons who have been in a blind spot of mobility support. The ordinance establishes the scope and eligibility criteria for transportation support services for individuals who are unable to move independently and live in a bedridden state, thereby creating a systematic foundation for mobility assistance. By providing a basis to ensure healthcare access and safe hospital transportation, the city expects the measure to contribute to expanded social participation and improved welfare for bedridden persons in the future.

인천광역시는 계절관리제 미세먼지 감축을 위해 대기 오염물질 총량관리사업장인 제이셋스태츠칩팩코리아(유)와 ‘고농도 계절 미세먼지 저감 자발적 협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔습니다.
이번 협약은 계절관리제 기간(12월~3월)동안 산업부문의 실질적인 배출 저감을 유도하기 위한 조치로, 기존 33개소에서 총 34개소로 협약 사업장이 확대됐습니다.
협약에 따라 해당 사업장은 계절관리제 기간 동안 전년 동기 대비 대기 오염물질 배출량 5% 감축을 목표로 설정하고, 질소산화물(NOx) 등 주요 오염물질 저감을 위한 설비 운영 개선과 자발적 감축 조치를 이행하게 된다. 시는 협약 이행 사업장에 대해 인센티브 부여 등 제도적 지원을 추진합니다.
Incheon Expands High-Concentration Seasonal Fine Dust Reduction Agreements
Incheon Metropolitan City has signed a voluntary agreement with JCET STATS ChipPAC Korea, a total emission limit management site, to reduce high-concentration seasonal fine dust emissions. The agreement aims to induce substantial emission reductions in the industrial sector during the seasonal management period from December to March. This year, the number of participating workplaces has increased from 33 to 34. Under the agreement, participating businesses will aim to reduce air pollutant emissions by 5% compared to the same period last year, and implement operational improvements and voluntary reduction measures targeting key pollutants such as nitrogen oxides. The city plans to provide institutional support, including incentives, to participating workplaces.
