Incheon TP’s Venture Investment Receives Government Approval


The Ministry of SMEs and Startups has officially approved the registration of Incheon Venture Investment as a venture capital company. Incheon Venture Investment is a wholly owned subsidiary established by Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP), a city-funded organization. With the approval, Incheon Metropolitan City will begin full-scale operation of a public-based professional venture investment function linked to its regional industry and startup policies. Key investment targets include innovative companies in strategic industries such as semiconductors, bio, robotics, future mobility, aviation, AI, and renewable energy.




Cheongna Sky Bridge Observatory To Open Next Month


Tourism facilities at the Cheongla Sky Bridge will open next month. The bridge, also known as the Third Land Bridge, has tourist facilities including an observatory which has been listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s highest overwater bridge observatory. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority is currently proceeding with interior work and selecting an operator in preparation for the opening of the facilities. At a height of 184.2 meters above sea level, the observatory offers panoramic views of the skylines of Cheongna and Yeongjong International Cities along with the West Sea. On clear days, visitors can even see Seoul’s Lotte World Tower and Namsan Tower. The authority also plans to develop a 257,000-square-meter waterfront cultural and tourism park around the bridge which connects Yeongjong and Cheongna International Cities, turning the area into a major tourist attraction.





Incheon National Maritime Museum To Promote Early Childhood Education


The Incheon National Maritime Museum has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Incheon Support Center for Childcare to promote marine cultural education for infants and young children and strengthen local cooperation. The two institutions plan to jointly develop educational programs for young children and their families while expanding opportunities to experience marine culture.





Incheon Releases Promotional Video For ‘i+ Childcare Support’ Program


Incheon Metropolitan City has released a promotional video for its “i+ Childcare Support” program. The program aims to better communicate with citizens to help resolve gaps in child care, and alleviate the economic and time burdens faced by families raising children. Rather than presenting rigid policy explanations, the video emotionally portrays the real-life challenges of parents balancing work and childcare. The video will be broadcast sequentially across various platforms, including terrestrial and cable television, YouTube, social media, subways, and digital billboards. Through this campaign, the city aims to deliver the program’s message in a warm and accessible way, showing that the program will provide practical support to reduce the everyday burden of childcare.





Incheon To Renovate Homes For Low-Income Residents With Disabilities


Incheon Metropolitan City will implement a housing renovation project to improve living conditions and create safer environments for low-income residents with disabilities. A total budget of 410 million won will be allocated this year to support 109 households. Each household can receive up to 3.8 million won for the installation and improvement of accessibility facilities and safety devices. Eligible applicants are registered persons with disabilities from low-income households whose income falls below the previous year’s monthly average income per household for urban workers. Application schedules vary by district, and detailed information on application periods and procedures can be obtained through local district offices and administrative welfare centers.





Incheon Supports Children of Foreign Nationality Falling Outside of Institutional System


Incheon Metropolitan City will provide support to help remove childcare blind spots for 15 children of foreign nationality who fall outside the institutional system. In partnership with the ChildFund Korea Incheon Headquarters, the city will provide 400,000 won per month per child for 10 months, totaling 60 million won in support. The program targets two-year-old children of foreign nationality residing in Incheon and will run from March to December. Under the agreement, the city will take charge in identifying additional eligible children, promoting the program, and providing administrative support.
