The Incheon Apartment Management Support Center has held the Comprehensive Training for Apartment Management Support for 2026. Around 300 participants attended, including management entities and local government officials, with management personnel accounting for over 90%, reflecting strong interest. It was the first comprehensive training program held since opening the center in March. The city hopes to enhance professionalism and on-site response capabilities in apartment management through the center and is using it to actively pursue systematic support for management entities.
Incheon Selects 17 Tourism Companies for AI & Digital Transformation Support
Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization have selected 17 companies for the “2026 AI Transformation (AX) and Digital Transformation (DX) Support Project” to lay the foundation for innovation in the tourism sector. The public call, held from February 26 to March 25, attracted 50 applicants, demonstrating strong interest in digital capability enhancement within the local tourism industry. Selected companies will receive not only financial support but also AI training and customized consulting to strengthen their digital competitiveness.

The Songam Art Museum in Incheon will host a hands-on event titled “Songam Art Outing” on May 5 to celebrate Children’s Day. Located in Hagik-dong, Michuhol-gu, the museum specializes in Korean antiques, including ceramics, crafts, and paintings. Incheon to Conduct Safety Inspections of Fishing Boats and Recreational Fishing Sites
Incheon Metropolitan City will carry out an intensive two-month-long safety inspection of fishing boats and recreational fishing sites to ensure the safety of users and prevent marine accidents. The inspections, to last through June 16, are part of a nationwide campaign under the Framework Act on Disaster and Safety Management, which aims to intensively examine disaster-vulnerable facilities. The campaign involves joint participation by the central government, local governments, and related agencies. Incheon plans to inspect at least 27 fishing vessels and four recreational fishing facilities through both joint and independent inspections.
Incheon Pushes Forward Strategy to Foster Secondary Battery Industry
Incheon Metropolitan City will move forward with a full-scale strategy to foster the secondary battery industry, a key future sector. Secondary batteries, which can be recharged and reused, are widely used in electric vehicles, smartphones, energy storage systems, and robotics, among other applications. The city plans to build an industry-academia-research cluster in cooperation with related companies, universities, and research institutions. It intends to support companies in strengthening their technological competitiveness and industry diversification, while also enhancing research capabilities through the cultivation of key talent at universities, the attraction of research institutions, and the establishment of demonstration platforms.
Incheon to Host 1st Rice Culture Festival ‘SangSang Rice Masil’
Incheon Metropolitan City will hold the first Incheon Rice Culture Festival, titled “SangSang Rice Masil,” from April 25 to 26 at Jung-gu’s SangSang Platform. The event marks the city’s first rice-themed cultural festival, aimed at addressing declining rice consumption and promoting the value of Korean rice to citizens. A total of 62 booths will offer a variety of experiences, food, and activities. The exhibition and sales zone will feature promotional halls for representative local brands such as Ganghwa Island rice and Ongjin rice, along with tastings and sales of various products made from rice, including traditional liquor, rice cakes, and desserts.
