IFEZ To Sell Five Neighborhood Commercial Lots In Songdo 


Five neighborhood living facility sites remaining in District 5 of Songdo International City will be sold through a competitive bidding process by the Incheon Free Economic Zone. The lots range in size from 2,011 to 2,978 square meters, with starting prices ranging from 10.4 billion won to 16.3 billion won. The sites can be developed for a variety of uses, including first- and second-class neighborhood living facilities, retail facilities, medical facilities, and educational and research facilities. Interested bidders may submit electronic bids from June 9 to 25, with bid opening scheduled for 10 a.m. on June 26.




Incheon To Recruit 100 Youths For Summer Public Institution Part-Time Jobs


Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will recruit 100 young people for its summer part-time employment program. The program offers opportunities for youth to gain hands-on administrative work experience at public institutions during the school vacation period while helping them better understand their local community. Applicants must be registered residents of Incheon as of June 1, 2026, the date of the recruitment announcement. Those who have participated in Incheon’s public-sector youth part-time job program within the past two years, from July 2024 to January 2026, are not eligible to apply.






Incheon Ranks 3rd Nationwide For International Conferences, the Highest Ranking Ever


The city of Incheon has ranked third among Korean cities in the International Congress and Convention Association's 2025 global city rankings for international conferences, marking its highest-ever placement. The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) is an international organization that tracks global conference activity, compiling statistics based on international meetings attended by at least 50 participants that are held on a recurring basis, organized by academic or professional associations, and are rotated among three or more countries. The rankings are widely used as a key indicator of a city's competitiveness in attracting international conferences and its capabilities in the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry. Incheon hosted 24 ICCA-qualified international meetings in 2025, improving its domestic ranking from fourth place the previous year to third.






Incheon To Host 6th Traditional Culture and Arts Festiva


The 6th Incheon Traditional Culture and Arts Festival will be held on June 7 at Incheon Grand Park’s outdoor stage. Now in its sixth year, the festival brings together local traditional artists and arts organizations to share the value and beauty of Korea’s traditional culture with the public. This year’s event will feature the final round of a traditional arts competition, invited performances, local arts group performances, and hands-on cultural experience programs. Participating teams will showcase their unique talents and artistic styles, highlighting the richness and appeal of traditional Korean arts.




Incheon Launches Joint Safety Inspections To Prevent Summer Power Outages In Aging Apartments


Incheon Metropolitan City is conducting joint safety inspections with related agencies to prevent power outages in aging apartment complexes. The inspections aim to enhance public safety during the summer season, when electricity demand typically surges. The inspections, which began in April, target apartment complexes that are more than 20 years old and contain at least 100 units. The program will continue through next month. Inspection teams will examine the condition of electrical facilities and assess whether emergency response systems can function effectively in the event of a power outage





KOICA & ICIDCC Conduct Community Service In Incheon’s Fishing Village


The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has conducted an ESG-focused community service activity in Incheon’s fishing village in partnership with the Incheon International Development Cooperation Center (ICIDCC). The community service took place on May 29 in Ponae Fishing Experience VIllage, located in Jung-gu. The initiative was part of a collaborative rural coastal community support program jointly promoted by KOICA and the Korea Fisheries Infrastructure Public Agency. KOICA employees participated in a plogging campaign along the coastline of Hanagae Beach, collecting litter while jogging. They also donated a telescope to help improve coastal safety and provide real-time monitoring of sea conditions. Approximately 30 people, including ICIDCC staff and students from Incheon National University, took part in the event.
