The 2026 Beauty & Healthcare Show will be held at Songdo Convensia from July 23 to 25.

In addition, the event will host one-on-one export consultations with 37 overseas buyers from 17 countries in partnership with KOTRA, helping local companies expand into global markets.

Incheon Issues Malaria Alert for Ganghwa-gun

A malaria alert has been issued for Ganghwa-gun with Incheon Metropolitan City launching emergency response measures.

The city’s response measures follow the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's nationwide malaria advisory issued on June 22, after the number of Anopheles mosquitoes, which transmit malaria, recently exceeded the warning threshold in Ganghwa-gun.

Malaria is transmitted through the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. Symptoms, which include fever, chills, headache, muscle pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, typically appear after an incubation period of seven to 30 days.

The city plans to expand the use of rapid diagnostic tests to identify asymptomatic infections and confirmed cases early, while stepping up mosquito control efforts in breeding areas.

Incheon Encourages Free HPV Vaccination During Summer Break

Incheon Metropolitan City is encouraging adolescents to receive free human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations during the summer vacation.

Beginning this year, 12-year-old boys have also been added to the National Immunization Program, and the city is urging parents and eligible children to take advantage of the free vaccinations.

HPV is a very common virus, and most infections clear naturally without causing symptoms.

However, persistent infection can lead to cancer, making vaccination essential.

In males, vaccination is known to prevent up to 86 percent of HPV-related diseases.

Incheon Expands Mobile Medical Services & Care for Island Communities

Incheon Metropolitan City is expanding integrated mobile medical and care services to ensure residents of Ganghwa and Ongjin-guns can access essential healthcare and support without leaving their islands.

Selected for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Open Competition Project for Social Services for Underserved Areas, the city and the Incheon Public Agency for Social Service have been providing home medical visits, health management, daily care, hospital escort services, and AI-based health monitoring to residents since June.

The project will run through December with a total budget of 100 million won, which includes 70 million won in central government funding and 30 million won from the city.

As part of the initiative, mobile healthcare services offering home medical visits and health consultations will be provided at community hubs across the islands.

Incheon to Boost Digital Competitiveness Through AI Training

Incheon Metropolitan City will hold a two-day 2026 AX Management and Marketing Training Program on July 20 and 22 to strengthen AI transformation capabilities and digital marketing competitiveness among local village enterprises.

The program moves beyond theory-based and certification-focused education by offering practical training that businesses can apply immediately in the workplace. Beginner and advanced courses will be offered based on participants' level of AI adoption and use, allowing for customized instruction.

This year's curriculum incorporates the latest AI technologies and includes hands-on training to help businesses create promotional materials and business documents independently.

Participating companies will also have the opportunity to earn relevant professional certifications.
