Bangmulgwan-gil (Museum Road) in Yeonsu-gu is like a ‘gift set.’ From the memorial hall to a temple and an excellent hiking course around the Incheon Metropolitan City Museum, there are many beautiful places to enjoy spring. The narrow-gauge train in the front yard of the museum, the Incheon Bridge Observatory, and the sunset at Heungnyunsa Temple is the photo spots you must not miss.
'Bangmulgwan-gil, Yeonsu-gu,' the museum road, is a place where you can enjoy things that you only saw in textbooks, such as history, culture, and ecology, all at once. About 10 minutes after you start from the Incheon Metropolitan City Museum, you will see the Cheongnyangsan Incheon Bridge Observatory, where you can see the calm sea. When you go a little further, you will reach the Cheongnyangsan Top Observatory (173m), where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Songdo International City. All your worries will be blown away once you reach the top and meet the panoramic view of Incheon.
Along the course, you will pass by places that captured Incheon's history, such as the Incheon Metropolitan City Museum, Heungnyunsa Temple, and the Memorial Hall for Incheon Landing Operation. The memorial hall vividly recreates the time of the Korean War. It makes you realize the importance of history and peace. Transportation TIP
Get off at Songdo Station on Suin-Bundang Line and take Exit 1. Take a bus, 523 or Incheon eEum 45, to get to the Incheon Metropolitan City Museum. Walk for five minutes towards Chukhyeon Elementary School.
