Laos Shooting Team Partakes in Vision 2014 Program Onsite Training

- Seven people including coaches and athletes to train in Incheon for 15 days from April 16 to April 30 -

○ Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it is inviting the shooting team from Laos as the first guest of “OCA – Incheon Vision 2014 Program”, an initiative to support sports-underprivileged country, to have a joint training with Incheon Okryun Girls’ High School’s shooting team (Coach Kim Eun-ji).


○ Seven people from the Laos shooting team, inclusive of two executive management and five athletes, will stay in Incheon for 15 days from the 16th to 30th to have training in Ongnyeon International Shooting Range; they will go through a joint training with Okryun Girls’ High School shooting team, personal-customized training, competency enhancement programs – all at advanced training system level - as well as cultural experience programs.


○ Coach Nopparak Posanarak from Laos said, “We are grateful to have the chance to get a hands on experience of the Korean shooting that is world class, and we are certain that this will be a basis for our Laos team to get motivated and to enhance our competence”, showing gratitude.

○ Meantime, Incheon Metropolitan City is setting a role for sports diplomacy in Asia as they continue to carry on the value of Vision 2014 program by constantly conveying its initiatives for offering onsite training experience for the underprivileged countries in sports even after the 17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 finished.
