‘Training Global Experts’, Leading the Bio Industry in Incheon

The Incheon  Metropolitan City will begin 'Korean NIBRT Program Operation and Bioprocess
Human Resource Development Center Construction Project' after going through administrative

 procedures, which was introduced in October last year, starting with a design competition in August

The Incheon Metropolitan City will begin 'Korean NIBRT Program Operation and Bioprocess Human Resource Development Center Construction Project' after going through administrative procedures, which was introduced in October last year,
starting with a design competition in August and vaccine education in September.


The design competition for the ‘Bio Process Human Resources Training Center Construction Project’, which will be built with 4 floors above the ground and a total floor area of 6600 m2, started on August 26, and applications are accepted until 5:00 pm on October 27.

After this design competition, a winner will be selected in November, and construction of the center is scheduled to start in the second half of 2022 after basic and detailed design, with an aim of opening in January 2024.

‘The 'Korean NIBRT Program Operation' is a national project promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Techno Park, and Yonsei University, the education system of NIBRT, an Irish biopharmaceutical manpower training institution, will be implemented in accordance with the situation in Korea. The pilot training in the field of bioprocessing is planned to be conducted from November, and the vaccine process-specialized education will be conducted before the pilot training.


Vaccine process specialized education is a project reflected in the ‘Korean NIBRT-Vaccine Specialist Training Support Project’ in accordance with the announcement of ‘K-Global Vaccine Hub Vision and Strategy’ in early August of this year and as the 3rd supplementary budget for Incheon City, the total project cost of 4 billion won (2.8 billion won from the government, 1.2 billion won from the city) has been prepared and is being promoted as a new project.
 



The Vaccine process training is a newly implemented project in response to the need for localization of mRNA
vaccine-related process element technology that can respond more quickly to new  pandemics and COVID-19

From September 6th to December 24th, 120 students will be trained for a total of 4 times, 30 people per sessions, who have graduated from a junior college or higher.


The curriculum consists of a total of three theoretical lectures including basic, intensive, and vaccine specialization and practical education of a total of five modules such as cultivation, refining, completion, analysis, and utility. And theory education is conducted online, and practical education is conducted in the field. The related opening ceremony will be held simultaneously online and offline at the Yonsei University International Campus at 11:30 am on September 6th.

CureVec, etc. and the application fields are diverse and the ripple effect is large
