Incheon hosts a series of large-scale international events to celebrate the Year of the Overseas Korean Visit to Incheon

The Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok) announced that it will host a series of large-scale international events with a large number of Korean-American businessmen and women participating in the '2025~2026 Year of Overseas Koreans Visiting Incheon' to accelerate its leap to a global economic city.


The 29th World Korean Businessmen's Congress, which will be held at Songdo Convensia from October 27 to 30, is the largest economic exchange event for the Korean community, co-hosted by the city of Incheon and the World Korean Trade Association, the largest overseas Korean businessmen's organization.


More than 1,700 Korean businessmen from around the world and Korean SMEs will participate in the event. The event is expected to generate an economic impact of KRW 11.7 billion* through various programs such as corporate exhibitions, export consultations, global trade shows, sectoral forums, networking, and cultural events.

Next April, the 24th World Korean Business Congress, organized by the Korean Overseas Korean Association, will be held in Songdo. It is a large international event that will be attended by more than 3,000 overseas Korean businessmen and Korean businesswomen, and Incheon City has begun preparations in earnest after receiving the convention flag from the Korean Overseas Korean Association in May.


Through the 24th World Korean Business Congress, Incheon organized a variety of substantial and in-depth economic cooperation programs, including corporate exhibitions, one-on-one business meetings, startup competitions, and forums for leading CEOs and young business leaders. The event is expected to bring the global Korean Chamber network to Incheon, maximize the satisfaction of participating companies, and generate an estimated KRW 17.7 billion in production*.

Incheon plans to maximize the economic synergy effects of the event and enhance the city's brand value by providing various conveniences such as transportation and accommodation support, operating tourism programs, and developing regionally linked contents during the event. In addition, the city will continue to build on the achievements of the Games by following up on export contracts and establishing a support system for companies at .


"Hosting a large-scale Korean American business event during the Year of Korean Americans Visiting Incheon is an achievement that demonstrates Incheon's international status and power," said Kim Young-shin, director of the city's International Cooperation Bureau. "Through the successful hosting of the Global Economic Competition, we will strengthen the network of Korean American businessmen and women from around the world and grow Incheon into a global business hub."
