Created date

- Priority given to culturally underserved locations such as libraries, welfare facilities, and schools. Applications accepted until January 6th -

The Incheon Culture & Arts Center (Director Hong Soon-mi) announced it is accepting applications for the first half of 2026 (March to June) for the ‘Incheon City Arts Troupe Outreach Performances,’ which bring the thrill of performing arts directly to citizens' living spaces.

The ‘Visiting Performance’ program is a flagship cultural outreach initiative where the Incheon City Arts Ensemble directly visits local institutions and organizations to present performances and concerts. It has consistently contributed to enhancing artistic accessibility and bridging regional cultural gaps by providing cultural enjoyment opportunities to citizens who find it difficult to visit performance venues.

In 2025, a total of 87 performances were held, attended by approximately 18,970 citizens. Stages were set primarily in culturally underserved areas, including island regions and the old downtown, as well as social welfare and educational settings. Notably, 32 performances targeted youth, leaving a meaningful impact on enhancing the artistic sensibilities of future generations. This year, 63 performances are scheduled for the first half alone.

The ‘Visiting Performance’ program for the first half of 2026 will be operated for institutions and organizations located in Incheon City. Priority selection targets include culturally underserved groups such as island regions, social welfare facilities, hospitals, military bases, operational agencies (police/fire departments), and schools. Events for profit and religious events are excluded.

Organizations wishing to apply should check the performance schedules and preparation requirements for each troupe on the Incheon Culture & Arts Center website's News section. They should then complete the application form and submit it via official letter or email (limsy0919@korea.kr). The application deadline is Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Submitted applications will undergo internal review, and selection decisions will be made accordingly. Final selection results will be announced on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, via the Center's website and individual notifications.

Hong Soon-mi, Director of the Incheon Culture & Arts Center, stated, “The greatest significance of the ‘Incheon City Art Troupe Outreach Performances’ is reaching out first to citizens who find it difficult to visit performance venues,” adding, “We will continue striving to deliver the inspiration of art directly to citizens' daily lives.”
