2024 Pentaport Rock Festival Nearing


2024 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, just a week away, is receiving great attention. Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival, which marks the 19th this year, will take place at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park from August 2nd to 4th.

This year’s festival will also be featuring many global musicians to present vibrant rock performances. 

For Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival ticket holders, a 50% discount on trains of circular routes will be offered from August 1st to 4th. 




Incheon City Museum Hosts a Special Exhibition In Commemoration of the 130th Anniversary of the First Sino-Japanese War 


Incheon Metropolitan City Museum has announced that it will hold the exhibition “130 Years After the First Sino-Japanese War: A New View” until October 27th, marking the 130th anniversary of the outbreak of the war.

This exhibition sheds light on the causes, course of war, and post-war changes of the First Sino-Japanese War through over 550 artifacts and a range of references including videos, lithographs, newspapers, and photographs. 

An official from the Incheon City Museum stated, “We hope this special exhibition to serve as an opportunity to reexamine the historical significance and impact of the First Sino-Japanese War that took place on Korean soil.”




Incheon City Bus Service Improved: Faster Route 3000 Enhances Bus Experiences 


The Incheon Metropolitan City announced that starting August 5th, it will implement and operate a rearranged route for express bus number 3000, running from Ganghwa Terminal to Sinchon Station. 

This rearrangement was made by incorporating feedback from Ganghwa County and in consultation with Gyeonggi Province and Gimpo City. The number of bus stops has been reduced from the initial 42 to 30, by adjusting and reorganizing 12 stops.  

An official from Incheon City stated, “We will promptly implement various measures to minimize inconveniences for citizens and ensure they are immediately served. We will also closely monitor the operating conditions and people’s demands to actively address inconveniences, including adding more buses in the future.”





Incheon City Brings Museum and Art Gallery to You 


Incheon Metropolitan City is promoting “Museum Renaissance Incheon,” which will support free museum and art gallery visits for a total of 950 local residents this year. 

“Museum Renaissance Incheon” is an initiative supported by the Incheon Museum Association. This project aims to provide cultural experiences to elderly, people with disabilities, children and the general public who face difficulties visiting museums due to lacking accessibility and information. The program provides supports for admission fees, transportation, and assistance personnel to enhance their opportunities for cultural engagement. 

In particular, “Museum Renaissance Incheon” aims to ensure that all Incheon citizens, without exception, have the opportunity to enjoy culture. Launched in 2023, this is the second year of the initiative.
