The Incheon Cultural Foundation has announced that to promote the use of integrated cultural pass, Culture Nuri Card, temporary affiliated merchants will be set up at various Incheon festivals, including the 'New Songdo Beach Festival.'
Festivals where Culture Nuri Card can be used include the 2024 5th New Songdo Beach Festival, the 2024 Songdo Beer Festival, and the 2024 Tribowl Jazz Festival.
During the festival periods, payments with the Culture Nuri Card will be accepted only at booths displaying the Culture Nuri Card merchant sign. Detailed information on participating merchants at each festival can be found on the Culture Nuri Card website or the Incheon Culture Nuri KakaoTalk channel.
Incheon Hosts Tourism Souvenir Contest to Highlight City’s Charm
Incheon Metropolitan City is set to host the "2024 Incheon Tourism Souvenir Contest" to discover and promote unique and practical souvenirs that capture the essence of Incheon, providing cherished memories for both domestic and international tourists.
Entries will be accepted over three days, from August 28 to 30, at the Incheon Tourist Information Center. Business representatives wishing to participate must visit the center during the submission period to hand in their application forms along with the finished products.
An Incheon City official stated, "We are committed to actively discovering attractive souvenirs that tourists visiting Incheon will want to purchase. Through diverse promotion and marketing efforts, we aim to establish these items as representative tourism souvenirs of Incheon."
Wolmi Sea Train to Implement Differential Fare System Starting August
Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Transit Corporation have announced the implementation of a differential fare system for the Wolmi Sea Train as part of their management improvement efforts, effective from August.
Starting in August, the uniform fare structure will be replaced with a differential fare system for weekdays and weekends.
For residents of other cities and provinces, the fare will change from the current 8,000 won for adults to 11,000 won on weekdays and 14,000 won on weekends. However, Incheon residents will continue to enjoy the existing fare of 8,000 won, receiving a discount benefit.

Hospital Ship ‘Incheon 531’ Protecting Island Residents' Health to Be Replaced with Eco-Friendly Vessel
Incheon City has announced the replacement of the hospital ship 'Incheon 531,' which has safeguarded the health of island residents for 25 years, with a 269-ton eco-friendly hospital ship.
The new hospital ship, designed to be more than twice the size of the current one, will be constructed at a cost of 12.6 billion won. It will accommodate up to 44 passengers and reach a maximum speed of 46 km/h. The ship is scheduled to begin operations in March next year.
An Incheon City official stated, "We expect the new hospital ship to significantly improve the quality of life for residents in the Ongjin-gun island area by ensuring better health services and safety." The official also urged stakeholders to combine their experience and wisdom to ensure the successful completion of this project.
