Incheon is Currently Hosting a Reusable Container Festival
The city of Incheon supported the use of reusable containers at the ‘2024 Incheon Pentaport Music Festival’ held from August 2nd to 4th, leading the way for an eco-friendly event.
During the three-day festival, which saw the participation of 150,000 people, a total of 275,370 reusable containers were used, resulting in a reduction of approximately 2.8 tons of single-use waste.
An official from Incheon City stated, "We aim to create Incheon as a resource-circulating city where citizens voluntarily request reusable containers," adding, "We will continue to support the use of reusable containers at large festivals and events to establish the use of reusable containers as a part of citizens’ daily culture."
Incheon Music Creation Center Recruiting Participants for the ‘2024 National Youth Music Competition’ Until the 25th
The Incheon Music Creation Center is recruiting participants for the ‘2024 National Youth Music Competition (13th Nasrak Festival)’ until the 25th.
The competition is open to all youth aged 14 to 19 residing in Korea, and applications can be made in any genre of popular music. Participants who pass the first round of video screening will proceed to the finals at Hongdae Sangsangmadang in Seoul.

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education Juan Library to Hold Second Session of ‘Cracking the Essay Contest’ for the 39th Saeal Essay Contest
The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education Juan Library will run the second session of the ‘Cracking the Essay Contest’ program starting on the 16th for local residents, in preparation for the 39th Saeal Essay Contest.
‘Cracking the Essay Contest’ is a writing skill enhancement program in preparation for the 39th Saeal Essay Contest scheduled for September 28th, and it will be operated in two categories: general and student.
A representative from the Juan Library stated, "Through this writing program in preparation for the Saeal Essay Contest, we aim to contribute to the spread of a reading, walking, and writing culture among citizens, and we will strive to strengthen the writing skills of both students and citizens."
‘A Vocalist Singing Trot?’ - Enjoy a Free Lunchtime Concert During Your Lunch Break
A lunchtime concert, jointly organized by the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture, and Tri-Bowl, is held every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the outdoor stage of Tri-Bowl and other venues.
