Incheon has won the bid to host the 29th World Korean Business Convention in 2025.
Incheon expects that hosting this convention will greatly contribute to strengthening networks with Korean businesspeople worldwide, and expanding opportunities for economic cooperation and attracting investment.
The World Korean Business Convention is an event attended by approximately 3000 Korea businesspeople from around the globe. It brings CEOs of Korean businesses together in international trade, as well as small and medium sized enterprises and young people aspiring to expand abroad or find jobs. This convention is the largest economic event for Koreasn living abroad, where participants share economic information from different countries and connect through business opportunities. It is the largest event organized by the World-OKTA (World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations).
Incheon to Operate Emergency Medical System During the Chuseok Holiday to Ensure No Medical Service Gaps
Incheon has designated the period before and after Chuseok as the “Chuseok Emergency Response Week” and will operate an emergency medical and on-call system to ensure that citizens can have a safe and relaxing holiday.
Incheon will establish an “Emergency Medical Management Task Force” to focus on managing emergency medical situations, checking the emergency medical system, and ensuring a comprehensive response.
Opening hours of hospitals and pharmacies on operation during the holiday can be found on the “Emergency Medical Portal E-gen”, as well as on the city hall and public health center websites.
Participant Recruitment Begins for the “Incheon Treasure Island 168 Campaign (Season 2)” to Discover Hidden Values of Incheon
Incheon recruits participants for the “Incheon Treasure Island 168 Campaign (Season 2)” this year, following last year’s campaign, to showcase the charm of Incheon, where Korea’s leading international port and stunning natural landscapes coexist.
The “Incheon Treasure Island 168 Campaign”, which refers to the 168 islands located in Incheon, is a citizen participation campaign. It aims to find islands with relatively scarce online information compared to those connected to lands. In this campaign, 168 participants become the eyes and feet of these islands, discovering hidden values and completing a map that captures these insights.

The Beautiful Journey of Baeknyeong and Daecheong Begins for UNESCO Global Geopark Designation
Incheon is taking a step further toward the goal of UNESCO Global Geopark designation for Baeknyeong and Daecheong National Geoparks.
Incheon, after being selected as a domestic candidate for UNESCO Global Geopark in February 2024, submitted a letter of intent in June 2024 and will submit the official application in November 2024.
Incheon plans to continue collaborating with the local community and engage in various activities to secure UNESCO Global Geopark certification for the Baeknyeong and Daecheong Geoparks.
