Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Signs MOU with Dalian Free Trade Zone


The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) today (September 5) at the G-Tower in Songdo International City. The ceremony was attended by Incheon Free Economic Zone Commissioner Yoon Won-seok and Shung Maoping, Secretary of the Dalian Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.

As this MOU marks the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Incheon and Dalian, China, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority expects that this agreement will enhance cooperation and exchanges with China.

An IFEZ official stated, “We aim to further develop the relationship that Incheon and Dalian have built over the past 30 years. Through this MOU, we hope that the two special zones will collaborate to explore investment opportunities and foster a progressive partnership.”

Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization are launching the "Traditional Market Mobile Stamp Tour" event starting today (September 5). This initiative is part of the "Attractive Traditional Market Development Project," aimed at promoting Incheon’s traditional markets and revitalizing the local economy.

The stamp tour offers opportunities to learn about Incheon’s history and culture, interact with local residents, and create special memories through various routes.

An Incheon city official stated, “We hope many citizens will participate and contribute to revitalizing the local economy. Incheon will continue to implement various projects to enhance the vitality of traditional markets.”





Incheon Citizens Showcase Park Photos in Annual Exhibition


Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that the "7th Incheon Citizens Park Photographers' Annual Exhibition" will be held from September 11 to September 22 at the Korean-Chinese Cultural Center in Jung-gu, Incheon.

The exhibition will feature over 150 photographs capturing the beautiful landscapes and moments from various parks across Incheon, taken by members of the Incheon Citizens Park Photographers group over the past year.

The exhibition will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for the Chuseok holiday.





Lee Seung-hoon Historical Park Opens: A Space Where Martyrdom and Culture Merge


Incheon Metropolitan City will open the "Lee Seung-hoon Historical Park" on September 10. This park is dedicated to honoring Lee Seung-hoon, the first Korean Catholic to be baptized and a key figure in forming a voluntary Catholic community without foreign missionary assistance.

The Lee Seung-hoon Historical Park features a deck road extending to Lee Seung-hoon's tomb, designated as Incheon City’s Monument No. 63. It also includes the Pieta Pond, symbolizing the martyrdom of four generations, the Lee Seung-hoon Peter Plaza, a multipurpose cultural space for various exhibitions, and a public garden concept known as the embroidery flower bed. These features are designed to offer citizens a space for relaxation and historical and cultural experiences.

Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok stated, “We expect that the Lee Seung-hoon Historical Park will become a prominent pilgrimage site both domestically and internationally, and it will also serve as a significant space for citizens to relax.”
