Incheon Opens Barefoot Red Clay Paths in Two Parks
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced the opening of barefoot red clay paths in two parks in Songdo International City from today (7th). Construction started in June and was completed in three months, with the paths now open in Michuhol Park and Landmark City 3rd Neighborhood Park. The paths are 2 meters wide and about 400 meters long, with safety rails installed to prevent accidents.
Special Running Event for Incheon Citizens’ Day on October 9
Incheon City will hold a running event called “Run! Healthy City Incheon!” on October 9 at Aetdeul Square in front of City Hall to celebrate the 60th Incheon Citizens’ Day. The event marks Incheon’s population surpassing 3 million and its economic scale reaching 100 trillion won, with around 300 participants, including Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok. Before the run, there will be warm-up activities such as yoga and Pilates, and all participants will receive sports socks.
Incheon eSports Challenge School League to Open on October 12
The “2024 Incheon eSports Challenge School League” for elementary, middle, and high school students will take place at Songdo Convensia from October 12 for two days. Hosted by Incheon Technopark, the competition will feature four popular games with a prize pool of 6.5 million won. The event will include an opening ceremony performance and a talk with a famous pro-gamer about eSports careers. Admission is free, and those who participate in the pre-registration event can win prizes like monitors and headsets.
Incheon to Hold Chrysanthemum Exhibition at Wolmi Park
The Gyeyang Park Office of Incheon City announced that the “2024 Incheon Chrysanthemum Exhibition” will be held until October 27 at Wolmi Park’s traditional garden. The exhibition will feature various chrysanthemum sculptures grown at the Gyeyang Park nursery. The works of Lee Jae-kyung, who spent his life restoring native Korean chrysanthemums and developing new varieties, will also be displayed at the park’s Chrysanthemum Garden.
