Incheon City Declares Marketed Cosmetics Safe After Quality Inspection
The Incheon Metropolitan City Institute of Health and Environment announced that it conducted a thorough quality inspection of allergenic fragrance ingredients and preservatives in marketed cosmetics to ensure citizen safety.
The results showed that all products met safety standards.
From June to September, the Institute tested 85 cosmetics, including hand creams, perfumes, and body mists, sold in local supermarkets and road shops.
An Incheon City official stated, "We will keep identifying and testing hazardous factors in cosmetics to ensure citizens can use these products safely."
Beijing City Officials Visit Incheon to Learn Agricultural Practices
The Incheon Agricultural Technology Center announced that on October 19th, six officials from the Beijing Municipal Committee of Agriculture and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs visited the center.
Led by Director Wang Xiuda, the delegation aimed to study Incheon’s agricultural status, farmer training programs, support for new agricultural settlements, and mechanization of farm work.
The Center introduced 52 key projects across four areas, and held in-depth discussions comparing agricultural policies and support programs with those of Beijing.
Incheon Schools to Use Cooking Robots for Meal Preparation
The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education announced the first use of ‘Incheon-Style School Meal Cooking Robots’ at Inhwa Girls' Middle School.
The new robots include a dedicated stir-fry robot and a multifunctional robot capable of frying, making soups, and preparing stews. These robots aim to reduce the workload of cooking staff and prevent injuries like burns during high-temperature cooking.
According to a representative from the Incheon City Office of Education, these advanced cooking robots are expected to enhance workers' health and improve efficiency in the kitchen, marking a step forward in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Incheon City Seeks to Host ‘Invest Korea Summit 2025’
Incheon City is striving to host the ‘Invest Korea Summit 2025.’
City officials report that Invest Korea is the country’s premier investment promotion event, attracting approximately 1,000 participants, including foreign investors, international media, and domestic leading companies.
The summit serves as a platform to highlight South Korea’s economic landscape to the world and foster investment partnerships.
Capitalizing on its advanced bio industry and strategic location, if Incheon is confirmed as the host, it will mark the second instance of the event being held outside Seoul, following Busan in 2023. The event will require a budget of 2.5 billion won, with 2 billion won coming from national funds and 500 million won from city funds.
