IFEZ Aviation and Smart Manufacturing Innovation Companies Showcase at K-UAM Confex
The Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) Authority will participate in the ‘2024 K-UAM Confex’ held at Paradise City from October 31 for two days, operating a special exhibition for the IFEZ Aviation and Smart Manufacturing Supply Chain.
Now in its fourth year, the K-UAM Confex, which began in 2021, offers a unique opportunity to experience exhibitions from global UAM companies and institutions alongside conferences featuring top industry experts.
To establish a supply chain between demand and supply companies in the aviation and smart manufacturing sectors, the IFEZ Authority has selected ten innovative companies to showcase in the special exhibition.
An IFEZ official stated, “We will continue to actively work towards creating a competitive business ecosystem to establish the Incheon Free Economic Zone as a global business innovation hub.”
Incheon City Launches Nationwide Contest for Waste Landfill Policy Promotion
Incheon Metropolitan City is organizing a nationwide contest to enhance public understanding and interest in the metropolitan landfill policy.
Located in Seo-gu, Incheon, the landfill has been operating since 1992, managing waste generated by Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do for over 30 years.
As a result, the 3 million residents of Incheon, particularly those living nearby, have endured significant hardships and suffering due to the landfill's operation, and they are urgently seeking a prompt resolution to this issue.
The issues surrounding the metropolitan landfill are not solely a concern for Incheon; they affect approximately 26 million residents in the Greater Seoul Area. Therefore, public attention is critically needed to address this matter.
Incheon City Offers Discounts for Wolmido Sea Train and Pororo Theme Park
Incheon Metropolitan City is offering discount benefits for families with multiple children and employees of family-friendly and women-friendly companies in Incheon for the Wolmido Sea Train and Pororo Theme Park.
The discount will apply on weekdays only. When using both facilities, visitors will receive a 50% discount on the admission fee for the second attraction they visit.
In particular, children aged 3 to 12 can enjoy a discount of up to 24,000 won when they visit the Pororo Theme Park after riding the Wolmido Sea Train on the same day.
The discount program will be implemented starting in November 2024. Families with multiple children must present an ‘imore Card,’ while employees of family-friendly and women-friendly companies in Incheon should bring their employee ID or business card to receive the discount.
Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon Wins Grand Prize at the Korean Architecture Award
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon received the Grand Prize in the public sector at the '2024 Korean Architecture Award' ceremony held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on October 30.
Now in its 33rd year, the Korean Architecture Award have been presented since 1992 to promote the development of architectural culture in Korea and to pave the way for the future of Korean architecture, earning a reputation as the most prestigious architecture award in the country.
This recognition is particularly significant as it marks the first time in 13 years that the Incheon Children's Science Museum won the Grand Prize in the public sector at the same awards in 2011.
An official from Incheon City stated, “We will continue to actively seek out outstanding public buildings in Incheon and strive to enhance the quality of life for our citizens.”
