Incheon’s Highest Recognition for Skilled Technicians: Announcing the 2024 Incheon Master Craftsman Award
On the 5th, the Incheon City awarded certificates and plaques to Lee Seung-mi, a master in the beauty sector, and Kim Jong-sang, a master in the building construction sector, who were selected as the 2024 Incheon City Master Technicians, in a ceremony held at Incheon City Hall.
Lee Seung-mi and Kim Jong-sang, the newly selected masters, will each receive a total of 10 million won in technical incentive funds over the next five years. Additionally, their names will be enshrined in the Incheon City Hall of Fame with commemorative reliefs, honoring their achievements.
The “Incheon City Master Technician” program was established in 2017 to recognize and honor outstanding technicians who contribute to the development of the local industry, possessing both skilled expertise and strong character. This program aims to elevate the social recognition of skilled technicians and enhance the competitiveness of the local industry.
Incheon Women’s New Job Center Highlights Expansion of Women-Friendly Workplace at Career Continuity Project Performance Review
On November 4th, 2024, the Incheon Women’s New Job Center held the “2024 Specialized Career Continuity Support Project Performance Review” at the Diamond Hall in Songdo Central Park. The event invited representatives from 80 companies in the Incheon area and officials from 8 Women’s New Job Centers.
This project aims to support women’s employment retention, improve workplace culture, and build a cooperative network for preventing career interruptions. To achieve this, various support programs have been implemented.
A center representative stated that they will continue to work so that companies in the Incheon area can create workplaces where both women and businesses can thrive together happily.
Incheon City Social Service Agency’s Incheon Youth Future Center, and Human Job Trust Co., Ltd. Sign Agreement
The Incheon Youth Future Center, under the Incheon City Social Services Agency, has signed its first partnership agreement with Human Job Trust Co., Ltd. to support the recovery of daily life and employment for isolated and reclusive youth, as well as youth caregivers.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will operate programs for isolated and reclusive youth, as well as youth caregivers, including employment support connections, work experience, and company exploration programs. At the end of this month, they will begin recruiting participants interested in employment from the current youth program participants for the company exploration program.
A center official stated that in the future, the Youth Future Center will continue to carefully assess and support the needs of youth to help them safely reintegrate into society.
Baengnyeong High School Students Experience Future Technology Education at Incheon University
Incheon National University recently announced that it conducted 3D printer modeling education for 33 second-year students from Baengnyeong High School, located at the northernmost point of the West Sea.
This was part of Incheon National University’s “Visiting Science Classroom” program, where Baengnyeong High School students experienced advanced technology at various locations, including the Shared Collaboration Studio at Incheon National University’s Michuhol Campus and the Incheon Technopark Automotive Industry Center.
