Incheon City Holds Seminar to Foster Entrepreneurship among Students and Citizens
On the 14th, Incheon Metropolitan City held a seminar at Inha Technical College, bringing together over 150 university students and citizens eager to learn about how to start their own business.
The seminar, titled ‘Seminar Visiting Universities,’ was coordinated by the Incheon Startup Forum, a group of private and public sector experts. It aimed to directly engage with students and gather their opinions.
An Incheon City official mentioned, “We will continue providing various lectures on setting up business in cooperation with local universities.”
Incheon Agricultural Technology Center Hosts Kimchi Sharing Event
The Incheon Agricultural Technology Center held the ‘Love-Filled Ganghwa Turnip Kimchi Sharing Event’ from November 13th to 14th, organized by the Incheon Branch of the Korean Living Improvement Association.
The event was designed to uphold the tradition of Kimch-making, encourage the consumption of Incheon's high-quality local ingredients, and promote cooperation between urban and rural areas.
During the event, 500 containers (1,250 kg) of Ganghwa turnip kimchi made by members of the Association, were prepared to be distributed to underprivileged neighbors through the offices of the 10 counties and districts in Incheon, ensuring they have a warm and supportive winter.
2024 Soraechan Kimchi Festival' Welcomes Culture Nuri Card Users
On Saturday, November 23rd, the '2024 Soraechan Kimchi Festival' at Namdong-gu Office Plaza will accept Culture Nuri Cards, as announced by the Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture.
Designed to invigorate local cultural festivals and improve user satisfaction, the festival has been registered as a partner event. This allows attendees to enjoy cultural shows and exhibits while purchasing kimchi with their Culture Nuri Cards.
The cards can be used for payments only at the festival on November 23rd, at four designated booths marked with 'Culture Nuri Card Accepted Here' signs.
Incheon Institute Suggests 9 Locations for Democratization Movement Memorial Hall
To commemorate the spirit of the democratization movement in Incheon, several potential sites for a memorial hall have been proposed.
The Incheon Institute, a think tank for Incheon City, has recommended nine locations based on its feasibility study report. These include eight existing facilities and one new construction site.
The proposed existing facilities include Wolmi Culture Center, Incheon City Industrial Mission, the old Civic Hall Shelter, Incheon Luxury Goods Hall, Subong Cultural Center, Incheon Museum Park, Sungri Hall at Incheon University Jemulpo Campus, and the Incheon North Workers Comprehensive Welfare Center. The new construction site suggested is the area around Jayu Park.
According to the Incheon Institute, these sites were chosen based on their historical significance, connectivity with local cultural resources, accessibility, and the feasibility of securing them.
