Overseas Koreans Can Now Easily Obtain Various Certificates at Incheon Airport
The Overseas Koreans Agency announced that it will relocate and open the Incheon Branch of the Integrated Civil Service Office to the Government Complex Center on the 2nd floor of Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport.
As of the morning of the 2nd, the Civil Service Office began operations, providing services such as issuing copies of the Overseas Korean Registration, reissuing Confirmation of Overseas Migration Reports, processing returns, and offering reservations and guidance for integrated civil service consultations.
In addition, the office provides consultations on administrative matters related to law, military service, family relations, national taxes, customs, veterans affairs, employment, national pensions, helath insurance, and driver’s licenses.
The Government Complex Center, where the Incheon Branch is located, houses civil service offices from various government ministries, creating a synergistic environment that is expected to enhance convenience for overseas Koreans handling various administrative tasks.
Incheon Launches Five-Year Plan for Air Quality Management
Incheon has initiated the development of a basic plan aimed at creating a pleasant air quality environment over the next five years, from 2024 to 2029.
Yesterday (2nd), the city held a kickoff briefing session at City Hall for the “2nd Air Quality Implementation Plan” project, attended by city officials, members of the Incheon Public-Private Countermeasure Committee on Fine Dust, and experts.
This research project, set to run until August next year, will evaluate and identify improvements of the 1st Air Quality Implementation Plan (2020-2024). It will also analyze Incheon’s current air pollution levels, projections for pollutant emissions, mitigation strategies, and the impact of air quality on public health.
Inha University Hospital Opens the First Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Incheon and Northwestern Gyeonggi
Inha University Hospital has opened the first pediatric intensive care unit (ICU) in the Incheon and Northwestern Gyeonggi regions.
The newly established pediatric ICU, with five beds, is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and staffed by specialized healthcare professionals to care for critically ill children.
Inha University Hospital is equipped with a team of 33 pediatric specialists and 10 adjunct specialists, providing expertise in pediatric care. The hospital has established a comprehensive care system that includes a pediatric emergency medical center, a children’s public specialty care center, and a regional neonatal intensive care center, enabling it to treat pediatric emergency patients as well as critically ill children.
Incheon City Office of Education to Send Elementary School Enrollment Notices by Mail and Hand Delivery from 9th to 20th
The Incheon City Office of Education will issue enrollment notices and conduct preliminary meetings for the 2025 school year.
The enrollment notices will be sent to each household by mail or hand delivery from the 9th to the 20th.
The preliminary meetings will be held at most schools on January 7th 2025. However, as the schedule may vary depending on the school, it is important to check the date specified on the enrollment notice.
Those wishing to apply for early enrollment or deferred admission must submit their applications to the local district office by 31st of this month. If it is difficult for a child to attend school due to unavoidable circumstances, parents can apply for a postponement or exemption of the enrollment obligation to the designated school between January 1st and the day before the scheduled school start date.
