Incheon Free Economic Zone Approves Construction of Seoul Asan Cheongna Hospital, Opening in 2029
The Incheon Free Economic Zone has announced the approval of the construction permit for Seoul Asan Cheongna Hospital in the Cheongna Medical Complex Town.
The hospital is scheduled to open in 2029 and will be built on a site in the MF1 block of Cheongna International City. It will have two basement levels and 19 floors above ground, totaling 165,899㎡.
The hospital will include specialized centers for cancer, heart, digestive, spine, and joint treatments, with a total of 800 beds.
Incheon Announces Updates to '2040 Urban Master Plan'
On December 31st, Incheon Metropolitan City confirmed and publicized updates to the '2040 Urban Master Plan.' The changes aim to keep up with the evolving policy environment and new system implementations, focusing on balanced and sustainable urban growth.
The revised plan prioritizes balanced development between older and newer parts of the city. A Timing Zoning system has been introduced for reclaimed land on the city's outskirts, determining land use areas after detailed construction plans are finalized.

Incheon City Council Supports Red Cross with Special Contribution
Yesterday, the Incheon City Council held a ceremony in their reception room to present a 2025 Special Red Cross Contribution. Jo Eui-young, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross Incheon Chapter, attended the event alongside others.
Chairman 정해권 delivered the contribution to Chairman Jo, pledging the council's active participation in this year's Red Cross fundraising campaign.
The Incheon City Council annually contributes to the Red Cross movement to support vulnerable communities and disaster victims.
The contribution will be used for a range of humanitarian projects, including emergency relief, urgent family support, and uncovering welfare blind spots.
Bupyeong Library in Incheon Announces Recruitment of Instructors for 2025 Lifelong Learning Programs
The Bupyeong Library, part of the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education, has announced the recruitment of instructors for its '2025 Lifelong Learning Programs' to provide various learning opportunities to local residents.
According to the library, they are looking for instructors in various fields including creative math and English for young children, reading activities for elementary school students, art and picture book instructor certification courses for adults, and smartphone usage lessons for seniors.
Applications will be accepted via email from Friday, January 3rd to Friday, January 10th.
The results of the selection process will be posted on the library's website in January.
