Incheon to Provide 1.5 Million KRW in Postnatal Care Support for Vulnerable Mothers
Incheon announced that starting on February 3rd, it will provide 1.5 million KRW in postnatal care support to vulnerable mothers.
Eligible recipients must be mothers who have been registered as residents of Incheon for at least 12 months and are currently living in the region. They must also meet the criteria for vulnerable groups, such as recipients of basic livelihood security, low-income households, people with disabilities, or beneficiaries under the protection of North Korean defectors.
The 1.5 million KRW in postnatal care support will be provided as “Incheon E-Eum” local currency points, which can be used for postpartum health management expenses within one year of the issuance date.

The Incheon Metropolitan Government is striving to bring changes that citizens can directly experience in line with its administrative goal of creating “a world-class city where citizens are happy.”
To help citizens easily understand and utilize its key policies and projects for 2025, the city has published a booklet titled “2025: A Better Life in Incheon,” which will be available both online and offline.
The booklet “2025: A Better Life in Incheon” will be distributed at district and county civil service offices, township and neighborhood administrative welfare centers, and public libraries. It will also be accessible as an e-book on the Incheon City website.
Incheon Secures Record-High National Funding of 6.8729 Trillion KRW in 2024
Incheon announced that it has secured a record-high national funding of 6.8729 trillion KRW, an increase of 435.2 billion KRW compared to last year.
According to the city, this year’s secured funds include 1.032 trillion KRW in general local allocation tax and 5.8697 trillion KRW in national subsidies. With this, the city has entered the year of over 6 trillion KRW in national funding for the third consecutive year.
The city attributes this achievement to Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok’s efforts in negotiating with the central government and relevant officials, emphasizing the urgency of enhancing security and safety in border regions.
Incheon Strengthens Hygiene Management of Livestock Products Ahead of Lunar New Year
Incheon has launched safety inspections to strengthen hygiene management of livestock products ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The city’s Health and Environment Research Institute is implementing comprehensive measures to ensure the hygienic supply of livestock products, including the early opening of slaughterhouses and reinforced safety inspections.
An Incheon City official stated that they will do their best to provide safe food that citizens can consume through the seamless supply of livestock products and thorough hygiene management.
