Incheon Deokjeokdo to Become a "One-Day Mainland Access Zone" with New Passenger Ferry in July


The project to implement a new passenger and cargo ferry, aimed at establishing a transportation system that will enable Deokjeokdo residents to travel to and from the mainland within a single day, is currently underway and is set to begin in July.

The Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it has issued a maritime passenger transport business license to Daebu Shipping, the operator of the Incheon-Deokjeokdo ferry route.Daebu Shipping plans to invest 6 billion won to build a new 450-ton car ferry, which will be deployed on this route starting in July. The ferry will be capable of carrying 450 passengers and 30 mid-sized vehicles while traveling at a speed of 26 km/h.




AI Convergence Education Center to Open at Incheon Port's Sangsang Platform in April


AI education center currently under development at the "Sangsang Platform," a cultural complex in Incheon’s inner port, is set to open soon.INCHEON Metropolitan City Office of Education announced that by next month, the existing Incheon Digital Education Center will be relocated from Michuhol-gu to Jung-gu's Sangsang Platform and renamed the "Jemulpo AI Convergence Education Center."

The new center will offer a variety of programs, including digital-focused convergence education and AI-based software training.





Incheon City to Hold Tourism Business Support Center Briefing on the 21st


Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization will host the "2025 Incheon Tourism Business Support Center Briefing" on February 21 at Incheon Tourism Business Support Center’s conference room. The briefing aims to inform the tourism industry about the center’s business strategies and detailed plans for boosting tourism. It will introduce initiatives such as fostering MICE tourism startups, supporting digital transformation, and promoting collaboration between tourism businesses.




Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Launches Traffic Safety App Utilizing Private Communication Network


The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) has announced the launch of the "Smart Traffic Safety Alert Songdo" app, designed to provide real-time danger notifications to pedestrians and drivers.This new initiative utilizes Vehicle-to-Network (V2N) communication technology to deliver traffic safety alerts and potential hazard warnings directly to users' smartphones.
