Temporary District Offices Secured for Yeongjong-gu and Geomdan-gu Ahead of July 2025 Launch
As part of Incheon’s administrative restructuring, plans have been finalized for securing temporary district offices for Yeongjong-gu and Geomdan-gu, which will officially launch in July 2025.
Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok announced these preparations during a press conference held at City Hall.
The Yeongjong District Office will be housed in a newly constructed 10-story private building in Yeongjong Sky City, with eight floors leased for administrative use upon its completion in April.
Meanwhile, the Geomdan District Office will be established on land in Dangha-dong, provided rent-free by the Incheon Housing & City Development Corporation (iH) and Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH). A three-story modular facility will be built on the site to accommodate district operations.
K-Bio Lab Hub Accepting Applications for New Resident and Membership Companies
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ), in collaboration with the K-Bio Lab Hub Project Team under the Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency, has announced a recruitment drive for new resident and membership companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
The ‘K-Bio Lab Hub’ project is a global initiative based in Songdo, Incheon, designed to foster innovative biotech startups by providing world-class infrastructure.
As a pilot initiative, IFEZ plans to identify and nurture promising biotech startups with advanced technologies over the next three years.
Selected companies will be provided with workspace and various growth-stage support programs.
Sorae History Museum Reopens After Renovation
The Sorae History Museum in Namdong-gu, Incheon, has reopened after completing a five-month renovation project.
The Museum features interactive exhibits and incorporates cutting-edge technologies, including AI and new media-based displays, reflecting the latest trends.
Incheon Jung-gu Recruiting Participants for 2025 Youth Challenge Support Program
Incheon’s Jung-gu District Office is launching the ‘2025 Youth Challenge Support Program’ to assist long-term unemployed young adults.
The program provides customized career support, including job exploration, employment skills training, and career development assistance. Participants may receive up to 3.5 million KRW in stipends and incentives based on their participation duration.
The program includes short-term, mid-term, and long-term courses, featuring activities such as hotel job experience and marine sports yacht training.
Eligible applicants are unemployed individuals aged 18 to 34 who have not participated in employment, education, or vocational training for at least six months. Applications can be submitted via the Employment24 website.
