Incheon City to Introduce Advanced Water Purification Facilities at Susan Water Treatment Plant by Next Year


Incheon City has announced plans to introduce advanced water purification facilities at the Susan Water Treatment Plant in Namdong-gu by next year, with a total project cost of 75.4 billion won.

Advanced water purification is a technology that improves water quality by removing taste and odor-causing substances from tap water that are difficult to eliminate through standard processes.

The city plans to secure a safe tap water supply system by completing the introduction of advanced purification facilities at the Susan Water Treatment Plant next year, followed by the Namdong Water Treatment Plant in 2029.






Incheon City Launches Carbon Neutrality Youth Supporters


Incheon City announced that it held the launching ceremony for this year's 'Incheon City Carbon Neutrality Youth Supporters' at the Incheon Institute's main auditorium on the 29th.

The Carbon Neutrality Youth Supporters is a youth-led, citizen-oriented policy initiative designed to expand public participation in responding to the climate crisis and achieving carbon neutrality. A total of 29 people across 8 teams were selected for the program.

Incheon City plans to actively support various activities to cultivate capable youth supporters who will serve as diverse communication channels with citizens, raising awareness about the importance of carbon neutrality practices and contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.






Incheon City Holds First 2025 Training for "Incheon Daddy Childcare Angel Team"


Incheon City announced that on the 29th, it conducted the first 2025 parenting education session titled 'Our Child's Mind Growth Clinic' for the "Incheon Daddy Childcare Angel Team" at the Incheon branch of the Population Health and Welfare Association.

'Our Child's Mind Growth Clinic' is a program that helps parents understand their children's minds and diagnose parent-child relationships through drawing tests. The purpose is to form positive relationships between parents and children, and to improve parental confidence by learning age-appropriate parenting methods.

The education targets members of the Incheon Daddy Childcare Angel Team community with children aged 4-10 years, and is conducted over two sessions with 10 families per session, grouped according to children's ages.





Incheon City to Open 'DMZ Peace Trail' Ganghwa Theme Route


Incheon City has announced that the 'DMZ Peace Trail' Ganghwa theme route near the demilitarized zone in Ganghwa-gun will be open from April 18 to November 30.

The 'DMZ Peace Trail Theme Route' is a security and peace tourism program that allows visitors to directly experience the value of security and freedom through the ecological, cultural, and historical resources of the border area near the demilitarized zone. This program, which has been operating since 2021, attracted significant interest last year with 654 participants across 57 sessions.

Applications can be made online in advance through the official 'Peace Trail' website and the Korea Dulle-gil walking travel mobile app 'Durunubi'.
