Incheon City to Accelerate Achievement of 600,000 Jobs Goal in 8th Elected Government


Incheon Metropolitan City has established its "2025 Annual Detailed Job Measures Plan," aiming to create 163,000 jobs to revitalize the local economy and expand quality employment opportunities.

Following the exceeding of its initial targets with 158,000 jobs in 2023 and 162,000 jobs in 2024, Incheon City plans to create over 163,000 jobs this year, allowing it to achieve the 8th elected government's goal of 600,000 jobs by the first half of 2026, ahead of schedule.

This plan includes five major strategies aimed at creating quality jobs that citizens can truly appreciate: ▲high value-added future jobs ▲Incheon-specific specialized jobs ▲youth dream challenge jobs ▲customized balanced jobs, and ▲communication-based collaborative jobs.






Incheon City Recruiting 200 Participants for "Happy Seed Account" Program for Young Adults with Developmental Disabilities


Incheon Metropolitan City is recruiting 200 participants for its 2025 "Happy Seed Account" program, designed to support asset building for young adults with developmental disabilities.

The "Happy Seed Account" has been implemented by Incheon City since 2021 to help young adults with developmental disabilities achieve independence. The program operates by matching contributions: when participants deposit 150,000 won monthly for three years, the city and district governments provide an equal amount, resulting in total monthly savings of 300,000 won.

Eligibility is limited to individuals with intellectual or autism spectrum disabilities aged 16 to 39 who reside in Incheon as of the announcement date. Household income must be at or below 100% of the median income standard.






Incheon City to Host Diverse Events for Library Day and Library Week


Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will hold various reading culture events at public libraries throughout the city in celebration of the 3rd Library Day and the 61st Library Week.

The events will include book concerts, meetings with authors, humanities lectures, performances, hands-on activities, and exhibitions, all designed to provide citizens with enriching reading experiences.

The 57 public libraries located in Incheon plan to operate approximately 290 programs during this Library Week.





Incheon City to Host 10th Disaster Safety Exhibition at Incheon Grand Park


Incheon Metropolitan City will hold the "10th Disaster Safety Exhibition" at the Cultural Plaza of Incheon Grand Park from April 5 to 6, aiming to improve citizens' disaster prevention awareness and emergency response capabilities.

The exhibition, themed "Citizens' Safety Culture Experience Festival," will feature various hands-on programs, exhibitions, and campaigns designed for direct public participation.

Key programs include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) practice, fire extinguisher usage training, earthquake and typhoon response simulations, and training on the use of descending life lines.
