Incheon City Appoints Global Incheon-man(IN1000만) Ambassadors


On April 1, Incheon Metropolitan City announced the final selection of the ‘Global Incheon-man(IN1000만) Ambassadors for 2025.’

The ambassadors will be responsible for sharing Incheon’s stories, as the city leaps to become a global city of 10 million with 3 million Incheon residents and 7.5 million overseas Koreans, from April to December.

They will create various content, such as promotional videos and card news, to introduce Incheon through social networking services (SNS) such as Facebook, Instagram, and blogs.







Incheon Selected as an ‘Outstanding Implementing Institution’ in the Evaluation of the Library Development Plan


Incheon Metropolitan City was selected as an ‘Outstanding Implementing Institution’ in the 2024 evaluation of the 4th Library Development Plan, organized by the Presidential National Library Committee.

A total of 13 institutions were recognized, including five central administrative agencies and eight metropolitan governments. Incheon was highlighted for its outstanding achievements in the area of ‘Building and Operating Community-Based Archives Centered on Libraries,’ a key initiative under the Fourth Library Development Plan (2024–2028).

Representative examples of Incheon’s best practices include the ‘Ongojishin’ project at Yeongjong Library and the ‘Challenge, Our Village Photographers’ program at Seo-gu Library of the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education.






Incheon City to Host Seasonal Farmers' Market in the First Half of 2025


Incheon Metropolitan City will host the ‘Seasonal Farmers' Market in the First Half of 2025’ at Incheon Terminal Station for two days on the last Thursday and Friday of April and May (April 24–25 and May 29–30).

The market is organized by Incheon City in cooperation with Incheon Transit Corporation. It is designed to support local farmers and fishermen who are facing difficulties in securing sales, while providing citizens with high-quality local agricultural and seafood products at reasonable prices.

Products available at the market will include shiitake mushrooms, sweet potatoes, red pepper powder, and black beans from Ganghwa and Ongjin. All items will be sold at prices 10 to 30 percent lower than the market price.





Incheon City to Host Farmer's Class for Children


The Incheon Agricultural Technology Center will host the second session of its Farmer's Class for Children, titled ‘Small but Strong Seeds,’ from May 13 to June 26.

This program is designed to help children learn about the history of agriculture, the life cycle of rice, and the structure of seeds through tours of the center’s facilities and theoretical education.

Participants will explore various types of gardens, eco-friendly rice paddies, and smart farms at the Urban Farming Center. Children will also have the opportunity to plant seeds themselves through a hands-on activity.
