Incheon Begins Construction of a New Walkway at Sorae Wetland Ecological Park
The Incheon Grand Park Office has announced that construction of a new walkway at the eastern side of Sorae Wetland Ecological Park will begin on May 23.
This project aims to address complaints from residents who have faced inconvenience since the closure of the eastern entrance.
The new path will be 169.1 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. After completing the detailed design and coordinating with relevant authorities, the city is set to move forward with full-scale construction.
Incheon plans to open the new walkway later this year, easing access and improving convenience for local residents.

The Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation has declared May as the month for strengthening efforts to prevent illegal loan brokers.
The initiative comes as illegal brokers are trying to trick small business owners with false loan guarantee offers, at a time when many are still struggling due to the economic downturn.
As part of the campaign, foundation staff will visit major commercial areas and traditional markets across Incheon to meet directly with store owners and small business operators.
They will raise awareness about illegal broker activity, explain how to apply for official guarantees, and share real-life examples of fraud to help people avoid falling victim.
Through this direct outreach, the foundation hopes to build a safer financial environment for the city’s small business community.
Incheon Women's and Family Foundation Promotes ESG Management by Planting Kenaf to Absorb Carbon
The Incheon Women’s and Family Foundation has launched a "Kenaf Planting Campaign," with all staff members participating.

Incheon Butterfly Park Hosts Eco-Art Exhibition in Bupyeong
Through the end of this month, Incheon’s Bupyeong-gu is hosting a special exhibition titled Nature’s left-behinds, given new life as artistic creations at the Gulpogallery in Bupyeong District Office.
The exhibition features eco-art pieces made from natural materials such as fallen branches, leaves, and seeds—collected and crafted by staff at Incheon Butterfly Park.
Incheon National University Hosts Chinatown Walking Tour
The Academy of Chinese Studies at Incheon National University recently held a walking tour in Incheon’s Chinatown for participants of the 2025 InChina Citizen Academy, a joint program with the Incheon Institute and the Incheon Institute for Talent & Lifelong Education.
During the tour, participants had the opportunity to compare present-day scenes with black-and-white photos of the area taken in 1943, a period marked by the resistance movement of the local Chinese community.
This allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the historical context.
Participants used a custom map created by students and faculty from the university to navigate key historical sites.
